EK is a teams top producer. Hughes isn’t Canucks top producer. With EK we can have another Sedin era for at least four seasons when Hughes and EK go on as they did.

The big picture is what attracts. Think of Hughes, Petey, Miller, Kuz, Mikh and Boeser and then add a monster as EK. Wich team can defend against that? The other team has to have two really good shutdown lines Then we have the fact that if we snag him, no one else will. Any one of the top teams or those like the Oilers with top players will be a contender with him. So take away him from other teams is well worth at least 8 mill and get rid of two wingers.
