PA got two of those players Johansson and Hirose is in that age. So it will be fun to see if Wilds fans talk the same about Johansson.

What I mean is regarding drafting players. Talk about scouts, strategy for the scouts etc. Leave the GM out of it except in situation where the GM trade away or for picks because that is hands on. You compare GMs regarding draft picks and that is wrong and if you as an olderman change behaviour youngsters like Anthony maybe follows also. It’s a lot of nonscence regarding GM and picks that is just wrong.

The bitchy thing here is that his contract is hard to do anything about so there it’s only prays and hoping(coping?) that may help.

Ppppppleaasse stop judging the GM as a scout. Almost everyone says it’s only top ten OA the GM gets in on it. After that it’s the scouts because Benning doesn’t have the time to watch every player and be a GM at the same time. Unless Benning skipped a lit of the GM work and therefor acted like a scout. Is that what you’re implying? What we see now is that the Gillis move to start up the AHL franchise again should have been a masterstroke with another GM than Benning and other coaches than the ones at Utica and Green. That is something a GM does. Start up an AHL franchise then others take it further.

Benning drafted nothing on his own… Gillis drafted nothing on his own. Gillis reset the AHL franchise wich is where you hot your backup players wich we seen a lot of. Every team got players from the organisation before… And? The only way we could have said Gillis was worse than Benning was if He had time to do a rebuild before he got sacked. So we won’t know how. But we know he started up AHL wich is very important.

Where were you and others when I said how bad Benning was long ago? I was almost alone in taking heat from the Benning fans plus they’d try to derail the discussion to be about Dahlen among others, not the bad man Benning.

Hm, explain and do it in a fair way like a GM that can draft a lot of better than 10OA has a much better chans to get a star than someone who draft later when the lottery starts.

We don’t need a precious top 4 RHD if we got our three best going as they should. We almost had 4 AHL players and won games last season. So three D good enough for this team next season. No stress a la Benning… Do you hear me?

I try to explain. Take the OEL trade. We got a short player, an offensive LHD and lost a 9OA. What we needed was a big player, and offensive RHD and players coming in on ELC.

Severons cap hit is way above what we should pay for the D missing plus we have a few coming up on ELC. So tell me why we should pay any more D over 6 mill?

Not the the coming season but the next. By then we have Silovs taking another step and Lekkerimäki and Petey the second joini g the team. But we can be a upsetter the coming season if we don’t have any major injuries.

Damn it, now you revealed yourself. only Benning would sign old players to astronomical contracts. Where are the up and coming D around 25? Not older than that. Severson was too expensive as I said in the thread about him before he was signed. Gudas might be cheap but since you talked about him he probably wants around five mill to be here.
