Miller re-singing for 6-8 years wouldn't be a bad thing or hold the team back with a big contract
-
-
Ah my bad, However I'd still disagree with that besides Demko, we lost Pettey and Hughes at times last season, in fact we won every game Hughes was out under Boudreau, Pettersson was still healing his wrist injury till January and the Canucks still had a winning record with him dealing with that under Boudreau, This team is a lot deeper then most give Credit for I agree depth is a huge thing but I do believe at Forward we don't need to worry about it, as for the Defense we'd be SOL if we lost Hughes and OEL but i feel most teams would be.
-
Yeah i don't know many teams that could lose their top 3 centers top 2 Dmen and their starter and still be competitive, if McDrai go down for Edmonton their season is dead in the water too

Gotta feel bad for Virtanen he's had his career essentially ruined over this, even if you don't think he could kept up in the NHL still, he would have done fine in the KHL yet he still got dropped from his team due to this, sometimes it's best to believe innocent untill proven guilty and this case is a prime example of it

Camera quality and lighting can sure make a difference, I think it will look better in person than it does in the photos, still not a fan of the design either though

I believe the rumor is for the reverse retros to have the NHL shields on the jerseys that would match the era from when the original jersey would be from, This would be why it's orange here as this based off the Canucks WHL jersey from 1962
-
At least it's so ugly it's unique this is just plan bad
-
I know the buyer of the Jersey. Here are some better pictures of it that they sent to our group messages
-
it's unfortunate they went with the worst logo the franchise has to offer. Much rather have seen the flying V return over JC

[Signing] Canucks sign Ilya Mikheyev
CanucksCountry replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
The more i think about the singing the more i like it Mikheyev's speed will add huge boost into our line up and sure the pk which was a issue with us last year. I get it's a bit more money then we would have liked but if we are able to move out Dickinson i don't think the contract hurts that bad, we have probably the deepest to forward group in the pacific this year now with this singing -
***NHL 2022 DRAFT GDT - CANUCKS EDITION***
CanucksCountry replied to 250Integra's topic in Canucks Talk
I hope so, still don't get the pick, we are already a small team with the wings being probably our strength right now probably would have been smarter to trade down a few spots and get a C/D and the extra pick -

[Signing] Canucks sign Andrei Kuzmenko
CanucksCountry replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He was making about 919usd last year he will more than likely be making the max on an ECL this year which is 950k so he would be making more here -
[Proposal] Buyers Pov of some Rumors
CanucksCountry replied to CanucksCountry's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
This years compensation for this type of contract is actually only 1st a 2nd and a 3rd which I think is worth it and I'd also being willing to do 2 1st as well -
With many team's seasons over we have more of a picture where teams are heading. I believe Vancouver should be buyers with where our team is and some of the names on the market. Draft day trades To Vancouver: Brandon Carlo, Boston 2022 2nd round pick (54 Overall) To Boston: Vancouver 2022 1st Round pick (15 overall) Why Does Vancouver make this trade? I know our prospect pool is a little baron right now but by moving down to 39 spots allows us to finally have a young 2 way RHD that this team desperately needs, at 15 there really isn't anyone available that would take this team over the top and i believe adding Carlo is just want we need Why Does Boston make this trade? Boston is likely going to be rebuilding with Bergeron likely retiring and Pastrnak wanting out. Boston will have to go in a different direction and get younger, Adding a top 15 pick to a bare system with no youth outside of Lysell in sight, being able trade out from an organizational strength is a huge win for them and is a nice way to kick of the rebuild. To Vancouver: Dallas 2022 3rd round pick (83 overall) To Dallas: Tyler Myers Why Does Vancouver make this trade? Vancouver is able to move Myers now due to the Carlo trade. Which with moving Myers increases our cap space Why Does Dallas make this trade? Dallas will be in search for Offensive minded RHD after Klingberg walks in this offseason. Myers will have some value this offseason to a team like Dallas which will fetch a mid round pick to help a Need with Dallas To Vancouver: Calgary 2023 4th round pick To Calgary: Jason Dickinson Why Does Vancouver make this trade? Vancouver is able to clear some more cap space for a good player who hasn't fit here Why Does Calgary make this trade? Calgary need's help in their bottom 6 with their Defensive Forwards they are able to pick one up cheap who had great defensive numbers before coming to Vancouver who seems like the type of player that would shine under Darryl Sutter To Vancouver: Colorado 2022 1st round pick (31 Overall) To Arizona: Boston 2022 2nd round pick (54 overall), Dallas 2022 3rd round pick (83 Overall) Why Does Vancouver make this trade? Vancouver moves up to the late first round to help get some prospects into our system Why Does Arizona make this trade? by trading their latest pick in the 1st round the coyotes add another 2nd and 3rd to have more bullets in the chamber for the draft. Free agency UFA: Ilya Mikheyev 1m x 3yrs Andrei Kuzmenko 925,000 x 1yr RFA: Noah Dobson $8,402,974 x 5yrs Why the islanders don't match. Lou has been making some Horrible moves in trading Toews and firing Trotz and with the Islanders being so deep on the Right side they take the cap space and the assets (unprotected 1st in the most deep draft since 2003 from a team that missed the playoffs last year) to upgrade their scoring depth by signing either Forsberg or Gaudreau. Which is a big need for them, while still having a top 4 Right-side of Pollock and Mayfield Extensions Brock Boeser 6.5m x 6yrs J.T. Miller 8m x 5yrs Bo Horvat 6m x 8 Juho Lammikko 775,000 x 2yrs Matthew Highmore 750,000 x 2yrs Canucks Line up Next year Podkolzin - Pettersson - Boeser Kuzmenko - Miller - Garland Pearson - Horvat - Hoglander Highmore - Lammikko- Mikheyev Hughes - Carlo OEL - Dobson Dermott - Schenn Demko Martain Cap Space in 2022-23 $7,858 Cap space in 2023-24 $7,022,859 inclusion the Canucks have the cap space without trading a huge assests out and with how the market plays out can boster the Right hand side and turn this team into a real contender

What's your bold prediction for game 1 next season?
CanucksCountry replied to Googlie's topic in Canucks Talk
I honesty think it would fix our defensive woes, i think at that point our D core would be top 5 in the league, it's a move i really hope they try i could see Lou not matching, he hasn't been a great gm for a while and could be the type not to want to spend 15mill on his right side when his left side of defensive is a huge issue -

None of the core guys get traded this offseason and that Noah Dobson fresh off an offersheet scores the game winner
