Glad to see (it seems) that the draft is held up for the weekend. Downtown NC was lit this weekend!
With a severe case of Whiskey breath the Hurricanes select Cole Perfetti of the Saginaw Spirit. We would also like to dispel rumours of favouritism from his Saginaw GM, he owns those cars we swear.

Head Coach Rod Brind'amour could be heard yelling through the tunnel, none of which ought to be written here. When asked about his raised voice in the press-game conference of Carolina's 6-3 game 7 win the coach made us aware that he was simply celebrating in French.
Word on the street is Thomas Dundon plans to give Jerry Bettman a call. Dundon's links to the 'Ndreghata mafia in Sicily were entirely fabricated as this sentence was written.
In other news, GM Gimmix is pleased to see his young team of stars SURGE together to defeat one of the most storied teams of the last decade! Trevor Van Reimsdyk will be called on to fill the large shoes of Calvin De Haan temporarily.
Edit: Svechnikov has called out Ovechkin on Twitter, but the tweet was immediately removed.

Carolina has sent out facsimiles to all NHL owners to no response. Please plug in your fax machines people!!
This will instead serve as notice that Carolina's first round pick is available, in conjunction with a Charlotte prospect, for a non-physical, high-speed, high-talent Left Winger preferably with term but not necessarily.

December 4th, 2019
In the high-scoring 6-4 Knights Hurricanes post-game, Carolina's Head Coach found himself commenting on a question everyone in the Tar Heel State has been asking, what is Carolina doing with Petr Mrazek?
Mrazek signed a 6.5 million dollar deal and was reportedly promised significant playing time.
Yet to play a game, the prime-aged goaltender with something to prove has watched 36 year-old Curtis McElhinney of Sriracha sauce fortune fill the net with hundreds of saucy saves, leading the league in nearly every goaltending statistic, highlighted by seven shutouts.
The coach had the following to say about the goaltending situation "Look, we believe strongly in [Petr's] ability, but Curt is the dirt to our growing roster this year and I don't intend to rob these young budding players of their Curtilizer."
The General Manager looked displeased when asked about the Coach's remarks, but refused to comment.
Mrazek's camp has expressed displeasure with the situation on twitter.
With all of the disrupted soil in Carolina, it's tough to overlook the Hurricanes hot start lead by 19 year-old Andrei Svechnikov, the most successful 2018 pick yet.
EDIT: Tonight's game was McElhinney's eighth shutout.

Will we be able to know how these players played in their 2018 campaign? I'm finding it difficult to measure value without their most recent performance levels unless I'm to assume we've stepped into a Tardis.

Looks like he's running a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy on homophobic slurs and had to move Morgan after a rough Monday nighter.
