  1. If they can make the pads smaller like Hirsch proposed and at the same time protect the goalies, how can anybody be against it? Unless it's actually physically impossible. I'm all for it if they can guarantee the goalies will be protected.
  2. Marchand (Again)

Probably got a major just based on reputation. I hate the guy, but this hit doesn't seem that bad. A tad late and a little high, but doesn't seem to be actually trying to aim for the head. 5 and a major seems fitting.
  3. Why can't anthem singers just sing the anthem. I hate it when they add their own twist and slowing it down.
  4. Unfortunately you are right. Me and my gf haven't bought a place yet because after all of the number crunching we concluded that if the interest rates went up, we might not be able to afford it. To play it on the safe side, we decided that renting is still the better option. It's a sad truth and I have friends that just bought their first place.

I agree. I think I'll actually buy Madden this year for the first time since Madden 07. They got the frostbite engine for it and also the story mode seems cool. The NHL games still look too similar to last generation. It's like they have been doing minor tweaks for a decade, but the game on the outside still looks too similar. Players still move and skate weird in my opinion.

  7. Joe Sakic seems uncomfortable in front of the camera. Always been a low key type of guy even as a player.
  8. God these teams play at such high speeds with so much finesse. The Canucks are not even close to playing this way.
  9. I just wanna see Ovie crank Kadri
  10. Yeah I just recently found that out after I posted that. Oh well, guess we'll just all eventually run out of numbers lol.
  11. Martin Brodeur

No matter how bad a player plays at the end of their career, they will always be remembered for the good times. When I think of Brodeur, I think of the the 3 cups and his hall of fame career with the Devils.

  13. That was one of the reasons I thought it was cool that Hall wore #4. I thought it was cool for a forward to wear a number that isn't traditionally for a forward. This whole number non sense is kinda stupid. He can wear whatever he wants if it wasn't retired league wide like 99. Sure he comes across as a douche for wearing it, but I think we take the number thing too seriously. The Leafs do it right by honoring numbers instead of retiring them.
  14. [GDT] Canucks vs Hawks, 4:30 pm, SNP

Even though the 90s was about the trap, it was such a cool era with all these players with such big personalities like Roenick. Now it's all robots and everybody is the same and afraid to say things. Roenick and Hull was such a breath of fresh air back in those days.

BC Lions coaching staff need to take note on how Ottawa's offensive gameplan against Calgary. Calgary clearly the better team in terms of talent, so Ottawa had to throw everything at them to even have a chance. Burris played quite possibly the best game of his career. The game plan was great by using TONS of misdirection and motion and this seemed to throw Calgary's defense off. It gave Ottawa a big enough lead just to hang on because with Calgary's talent, they still were able to come back from a 20 point deficit. BC coaching under Wally has always been about executing the same game plan all year along and beating teams with talent rather then scheming. Ottawa showed how valuable scheming is especially when you are heavy underdogs.
