  1. The Score is still around? The hot takers in the media labeled the off season the Seahawks had three years ago as a F and it turned out alright for them.
  2. MG's has once again backed himself into a corner due to his dithering. He needed to make his move at the trade deadline. Now he's lost all his negotiating power. As usual. Does anyone even believe a word out of his mouth anymore? Bold moves, resets etc etc. We heard it all before and as always he does nothing. Talk is cheap.
  3. Hopefully MG does the right thing and trades or buys out Luongo. Frankly, he deserves better than this two bit organization.
  4. No one ever mentions that the Canucks have serious injury problems every year. This is due to a flaw in MG's team building logic. He has put a heavy emphasis on "smart" smallish players over bigger more stout players. How many "puck moving", otherwise known as soft and undersized, dmen can one team have? The fact that Booth is considered a power forward is ludicrously hilarious. This flaw has been most evident in the playoffs, but divisional realignment away from the softest, easiest division in hockey now spells disaster for the regular season as well. It's just another example of a highly praised, yet failed academic theory by Gillis. This organization has lost an entire generation of players due to his failed theories. That is why you don't hire a GM without any managerial experience. Hopefully next time Franny doesn't listen to the little birdies chirping in his ear and hires a competent GM instead of a friend of friends.
  5. Please tell me how he's supported this city in the first place? By being part of the mob that attacks it?
  6. I bet there are thousands of these type of "altercations" per year in North America between drunk athletes and fans. This one is news because the athlete is whining, he's part the most sanctimonious organization in all of sport and the media enjoys ripping Vancouver. Get over it.
  7. Lucic has been a central figure in a massive hatchet job against this city and it's funny that he thinks he should be immune from criticism. It's doesn't make it better than he's from here. It makes it worse. It's treasonous and many people take traders personally. Maybe you shouldn't be hitting the night clubs with that type.of history. Also, despite the Moj propaganda he's no angel. Not saying he's necessarily that bad of a guy but this Lucic can do wrong rhetoric is a little much. Evey time Lucic shows his face in this city, especially at drinking establishments, he poking the bear so to speak. The best part is he's threatening to stop defending this city. hahahhhahahaha. How will we ever survive without Boston "defending" us? If you don't think this type of stuff happens everywhere you're kidding yourselves. It's only news because it happened in Vancouver to a St. Bruin. Once everyone's done genuflecting at the Bruins alter they will realize this is a very common occurrence. The Canucks were getting harassed just a few weeks ago in Nashville, yet that barely got a mention in the MSM. Now this happens and it's front page. Maybe the Canucks should run to the media crying everytime a fan from a visiting team challenges them.
  8. You mean the organization who's prospects rank in the bottom five of every major independent scouting service. Keep drinking the kool aid.
  9. Luongo is a good regular season goalie but doesn't have the mental makeup to win when the pressure is at it's highest. Gillis destroyed Luongo by naming him the captain. You can't name a goalie captain especially one with the mental makeup of Luongo. Especially is a city like Vancouver. That move alone probably cost the Canuck's the Cup. All these Gillis hacks giving him credit for the core of team is astoundingly absurd. How do you circle that square? That’s not my favourite MG propaganda though. My favourite is the effusive praise he receives for the intangibles he’s brought to the organization because the hacks can’t find anything tangible he’s done well.
  10. OP is spot on. Modern day sports media are just lackeys for the home team so you never hear any real criticism of Gillis but there is lots to go around. Just because he studies their bowel movements it doesn't mean he's some super GM. It's been a revolving door of hacks around the core that he inherited. We would be Columbus if it wasn't for the previous regimes.
