    To be fair, Bob McKenzie's list has never been his own evaluation of players. It is him putting together different scouting lists and predicting where they will go in the draft. That being said, Craig Button was the only one who got it right.

    The Calgary Flames and restricted free-agent forward Matthew Tkachuk are closing in on a three-year deal worth an average annual value of $7 million, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie. Tkachuk will be a restricted free agent when the deal expires. The 21-year-old will make $9 million in the third season of the contract, according to TSN's Darren Dreger. He'd receive a qualifying offer of at least that amount for a potential fourth year, should the sides fail to agree to a new deal before that time.

    No, they only take up protected spots if they have a NMC. They only have modified NTCs at the time of the expansion draft. You do not have to protect NTCs.

    Both Myers and Ferland only have Modified NTC's for the expansion draft, so are not required to be protected. Canucks are in a good spot for the expansion draft other than the goaltenders. We will probably lose one of Demko or Markstrom.
