First Mean Gene now Super Dave WTF RIP both of you.
-
nothing wrong with 2019
"circle of life" is just turning
both were well into their 70s
full lives lived
what more do people really expect?
eternal life? immortality ?
you really do not want to greatly outlive your peers
life gets pretty lonely when all your friends depart and leave you alone
-------------------------------------------
here is an interesting fact about life expectancy of russian men:
(the expectancy for a canadian male is 81.2; usa is about 5 years less)
The most striking thing about Russian life expectancy data is the difference between men and women. In 2016, the life expectancy for Russian women was 77.1 years, but only 66.5 years for men, an astonishing 11-year gap. Nowhere in the world is the difference greater. In most countries, including the US, the gap is about 5 year

my cousin just died last week of health related issues just prior to his 57th birthday - too short of a life in my view . he deserved another 20 years like gene and super realized

Marchand living by the sword dying by the sword - got speared in the throat tonight I see,

Ahhh WJC - that time of the year when TSN becomes relevant for 2 weeks :D
-
LMAO - Nylander yet again with an amazing game.... pretty sure he went to Lucic's hockey school in the off season
-
Hahaha Blues can't beat the Nucks but whoop both hurtin Albertin teams - love it :D
-
Loui is heating up just in time to be moved after the Christmas roster freeze Very happy with his game this year - needs to keep putting the puck in the net now
-
Nylander sure is showing he's worth that new contract

Anybody else wonder if Flyer fans whine as much about picking Patrick over Pettersson as some CDCers do about Joulevi over Tkachuk?

surprisingly the philly fanbase is quite knowledgable , since their hey days of the broad street bully era ,been a closet flyer fan since then and have followed the team since my time playing in smithers and also attending Watson brothers hockey schools as a kid , i'll add , smithers is flyer hot bed , with home boys jimmy and joe Watson , and ron Flockhart. although hamhuise has been ruling the roost lately

Anyone else thinking that Puljujarvi may end up being the next Nail Yakupov

Been saying this for a while. He has never adjusted to the size of the rinks and the speed of North American style hockey. He hasn't convinced me that he is a game-breaking player in any sense. I won't say bust, but he should be a top 6 forward for Edmonton already. For what his skills were - he should be a point producing player. He's not and unless I see him start taking over games and proving that he can be a driving player I won't be convinced be belongs in the NHL.

“They were hitting, holding, cutting, grabbing, clutching, hitting,” Nurse fumed. “It’s been going on all year. I do not understand why they are letting everyone play one of the best players in the league so physically. I do not understand it.”
Oh Darnell how dare people actually hit McDavid lol

In the article it is funny as he says this:
Beginning Tuesday, when St. Louis visits the Oilers on Sportsnet, our cameras will go in search of such interference off the puck, as McDavid tries to join the play. If it’s there, and we have little doubt it exists, Canadians across the country will see it for the next two days — because that’s the media’s role in all of this.
Mark Spector is on the case!!!
-
Watching the Molson Canadian commercial - anyone know who their 12 heroes of hockey are on the beer bottles? Owen Nolan is one?? If so why lol
-
Chiasson has been a nice surprise for Edmonton - anyone else see Chiarelli signing him 6 yrs 6 Million
-
Ever noticed how any player of any talent who might be traded always has Toronto listed as possible destination
-
Only in Deadmonton is a fan favorite an overpaid 6 Million dollar anchor like Lucic
-
Mark Spector wrote an article about how he has embraced his new role as a third line player and how great he has been lol. At least with Loui we have the cap space to absorb a crappy contract and there is some possibility of moving him in the last few eyars of his deal and only have to eat half his salary - Edmonton doesn't have that luxury and like I have said he's an anchor on that team contract-wise as he has a NMC and 4 more years (he is not going to get better as he ages.) Oh well he fights so they paid 6 million for an enforcer - way to go Chiarelli
-
Would this be the most expensive unproductive line in the NHL today?
Neal-Eriksson-Lucic?
-
OMG Sportsnet with the Willy Watch - complete with a countdown clock - sigh.... one day they along with TSN will learn TO is not the center of the universe in any sport
-
Kansas City and Kareem Hunt - wow!
-
There's a very good chance he'll never play in the NFL again. Ray Rice couldn't make a comeback, and based on the video of Kareem that was just released, I have a very hard time imaging Kareem will make an NFL return. If I was a player, I wouldn't want him on my team, and I wouldn't be happy if, as a fan, my team signed him -- no matter how talented he is. It's not worth the morale decrease and the bad press.
-
Anyone else thinking Petey is going to eat up a significant chunk of our cap after his ELC expires (I'm not complaining)
-
Is it just me or is Vegas heating up - damn they are scoring goals in bunches!!!!
-
Anyone else think Gene Principe is the greasiest online personality on Sportsnet or is it just his Movember Stache?
-
Kassian should have known that Tkachuk would turtle lol
-
Man good tilt between Benn and Anderson tonight in the CLB-DAL game - bit of a slobber knocker
