We're pleased to ink these four players to their ELC's and look forward to seeing them this summer at our Rookie Camp. Stanley, Sosunov and Greenway were drafted by the organization when I took over, and Lindstrom was brought in via trade, but all four will hopefully provide a base of youth as we head into our summer with our 11 draft picks in tow. We've got to start somewhere with this rebuild, but we feel that we're in a decent place as this current year nears its end. About the only thing we'll be keeping our eyes on down the stretch here is where our two lottery picks finish (ARI 1st currently 2nd overall, MTL 1st currently 8th overall). #teamtank Prospect rankings will come at a later date, in part because I'm still scouting half of the prospects that I inherited.

The Habs made a number of their moves ahead of the deadline, but today we decided to leverage the playoff-bound nature of Tomas Tatar into a younger and cost-controlled Ryan Strome. Thanks to Tomas and to @Monty for the trade discussions, and we hope that Tomas can help in the upcoming playoff run in Vegas. Ryan's age, salary and RFA nature was very appealing, especially after making the earlier acquisition of Matt Duchene, who is a pending UFA. Our plan is to try and convince Matt to stick with us and show him how close we believe we are, and we'll be doing that by putting him directly between Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle on our top line. Our plans of doing the hard rebuild changed when we made the deal for Taylor, though we did work hard to bring inject youth into the lineup. Bringing in Evgeni Svechnikov, Alex Formenton certainly helped stock our shelves, and with some of our off-season signings and prospects like Mamim Mamin, Sebastian Aho, Anthony DeAngelo and Noah Juulsen working their way into the lineup we feel that we're close to competing in the East. And though we have 5 of our picks currently tied up in "Future Considerations", there's only one pick that is certainly being moved and a maximum of 3 of them (which include winning a draft lottery), so we still have plenty of options ahead of the draft. Despite not having the year we expected in Montreal, we're very happy with the pivot that we've made and look forward to our final stretch here to see how things look. Updated Habs Lineup Hall - Duchene - Eberle Domi - Patrick - Galchenyuk Panik - Strome - Mamin Compher - Soderberg - Nieto Nieves Theodore - Pesce Hickey - Juulsen Dotchin - DeAngelo Aho Lundqvist Wedgewood IR: E. Johnson, Stoner Oh, and thanks to @Mike Vanderhoek for his work today.

Having made most of our moves in the days and weeks ahead of the deadline, there was only one more move made today. Valteri Filppula had a NMC and was also a pending UFA, but we managed to find a fit for him in Buffalo while recouping some future assets plus a reclamation project in Cody Franson. Again, as a rebuilding team with a number of ELC's that we expect to fill our cap-sheet in the near future, we leveraged our cap space to add some more futures. Thanks to @Mimerez for the quick and fruitful trade discussion, and good luck to Val in Buffalo ahead of their upcoming playoff run.

Last call for playoff-bound Dale Weise. Looking for a 5th or a prospect.
  10. CDC Fantasy League 2017-18

Waivers: Arizona places Cody Franson on waivers with the intention of sending him down to the minors if he clears. Recall: Arizona recalls Travis Sanheim from the minors.
  11. CDCGML 2017-18

Report: With today's trade of Tomas Tatar, his value has shot up. Team's looking to add a scorer on a playoff-bound should contact the Habs. He's not a rental with one more year on his deal @ $5m per, and we're very content to keep him, but interested teams should get in touch. Salary could always be retained...
  12. CDCGML 2017-18

Report: Nothing appears imminent in Montreal ahead of the deadline IRL tomorrow, as many of the bigger moves have already occurred. Having said that, with 3 roster players currently on TSN Hockey's Trade Bait List, things could always pick up in that regard. Max Domi (#12), Alex Galchenyuk (#16) and Tomas Tatar (#35) could be interesting pieces if they suddenly find themselves on playoff-bound teams. Either way, the Habs will be looking to pick up a depth forward at the NHL level, and have some cap-space to help out a team if need be. We'll also be checking out the waiver wire to see if a fit could be found there.
  13. CDC Fantasy League 2017-18

Dale Weise is OTB in Arizona. A depth guy on a playoff team who won't cost much. Willing to discuss other moves too, especially if any of our guys get moved to playoff teams. Easiest way to reach us will be on Discord, though PM will work too.

A big day in the desert! We're thrilled to have Craig Anderson agree to be our starter for the next two years and share the crease with James Reimer, which solidifies our crease during our rebuild the next two years with a pair of solid veterans. We're also excited to bring in Jonas Brodin, Zemgus Girgensens and Maxim Mamin to our organization. Jonas is a guy that we targeted and fit the criteria of a young d-man that we'd move our late 1st for, and we thank @Intoewsables for the quick and easy negotiation. Our blue-line needed a major overhaul and still likely does, but we feel that Jonas will help us greatly. As for Zegmus and Maxim, we like that both players are young and on RFA deals, and we still believe that they have higher ceilings to reach. Thanks to @Master Mind for the fruitful trade discussion. We'd like to thank Dennis Seidenberg, Brandon Tanev, Stefan Noesen and Chris Wagner for their time in Arizona and wish them well on their new teams. ---------- Recall: Arizona recalls Maxim Mamin from the minors and places him on the active roster.
