  1. Isaac Newton lived in a time before Darwin and Wallace proposed the mechanism behind evolution and before we had the overwhelming evidence we do for the age of the earth. That's not really a good example.

Sure it is..... because my point was that it didnt matter what Newton believed in, it didnt change who he was and what he accomplished.

If the OP's friend is a good guy then why should it matter if he is a YEC or an OEC , athiest or buddhist ?

  2. To the OP.... if he is your friend but you are not interested in religious conversations, then simply tell him that and ask for him not to discuss it with you until you are interested in talking about it or want to know more about his beliefs. At the end of the day it doesnt matter if he believes in YEC, OEC, or is an athiest. If he is a friend, then take him for what he is.

Sir Isaac Newton is one of the greatest scientists we know yet he firmly believed in Young Earth Creation. Does that make him stupid and a moron like everyone in this thread is suggesting ? No, it just means he had a different believe system yet it didnt change what he accomplished in life. When it comes to religion, politics and music , you will have all sorts of differences but for the most part it doesnt change the type of person they are.

  3. I dont know if that is the way it works. If Iggy is invited at a later date, he gets the C.

If not, Sid has been captain longer than the others and should get it.

Iginla is not gonna be on this team.... He couldnt keep up with Crosby or Malkin on a smaller ice and showed very little chemistry together. He would be useless as a checking 3rd/4th liner and he isnt fast or good enough anymore to be on the top scoring line on an Olympic size surface.
