  1. Carolina is a pretty good place to have success as well I guess.
  2. I’m not expecting any more big deals from us now. Not that these were big in any way but it feels like we have adressed what was needed and 3C will come later here via trade. Blueger was depth in my books, not permanent for the 3rd line.
  3. Very nice indeed! Wasn’t expecting us to sign him before the hype but it grew on me quite quickly so I’m happy and deal isn’t 6x6 so that always helps
  4. Nice guy all the way. But we’ll manage (I hope)
  5. There he goes. Loved him here but I’m excited about a new and hopefully improved d setup here.
  6. Never really liked him or his game. Not then and definitely not now with his speed. So I hope the Boston thing works out for him and he can retire there.
  7. Bear - maybe if he heals well. No rush there. No point in qualifying him with the injury he has to come back from first. Burroughs is a guy I’d still keep. Depth defenceman with the right attitude and skillset for the job.
  8. In the real world, owners are owners, they aquire proper people to run the company. In this case Linden or Benning is brought in to run the company. They don’t need to sell a trade idea to the owner, they are in charge of making the right call and get paid to do that. A CEO, President, GM etc does not run to the owner with this stuff. An OEL buyout might be something they might discuss, but in general the owner just wants his money or money and success in this case. If he didn’t trust his GM or President, he’d do the job himself.
  9. Spot opening up for Jukka Jalonen to make the jump from Europe to an NHL coaching job.
  10. The topic should be edited to [Trade] Benning, Linden, Tortorella, Desjardins and Green for Rutherford, Allvin, Tocchet and a 2nd in 2017 (55th overall). all topics should be named that, unless it is about trading Miller or signing Tryamkin.
  11. Starting out as expected, 2 games, one goal, one assist and a ppg player. Not bad
  12. Hirose has looked very ready and has shown a lot of upside in his game so far.
  13. He could have picked his words more carefully and got the same info out of his mouth doing so. He probably isn’t wrong with what he said tho. Just how he said it will rub the wrong way for a lot of Canucks fans. I won’t take it as an insult. It is what it is.
  14. If he isn’t 100%, then no point playing him now. Heal up and play when it matters.
  15. Great game to watch. Just the kinda hockey you wan’t to see. Would ve nice to be in the hunt still but I’ll take it.
  16. Great! I hope he can stay and become a regular. I had very much given up on him already. But he has looked solid here the last few games.
  17. Great to see Demko back and doing well. And as many have noted already, Myers was pretty good again. Go figure. I really like how our d played in general. Didn’t look bad at all when you look at who was playing and who we were playing against. Really nice.
  18. Definitely not an expert here on prospects in general, but with covid and everything it brought with it, I’m sure some guys didn’t progress ’normally’ and I’m sure scouts didn’t get to see them as much as before.
  19. I might be your age at some point, typing here and still no cup. Rebuild or not. People can boycott if they like but to me that is totally pointless. If this is so bad why not follow frisbeegolf on TV? I welcome the challenge and being the underdog going into the season every year. It’s been like that a lot lately. Of course it hurts when we don’t get there (cup) but 31 teams dont get there - every single year. I’d love for us to win a cup, but I wont do it as a part-time fan or hater of the team. (not saying you are, just in general) Exciting times ahead. I feel good about the direction we are headed. Chin up everyone!
  20. Spooshy’s recap We got something for both Lazar and Stillman. I think that is a win for sure. They had a chance here, didn’t work out and we still got some value. Good job all around. Bo and the return was ok, even including Hronek and all the parts around that. Losing the first sucks but still worth it in my mind. Beauvillier has been better than expected so far. Hope he can keep that up but not sure he can. Kravtsov is a questionmark but the potential is there for him to fit in nicely. Other smaller parts moving gives us a chance to add something else. All in all I’m (again) clearly in the minority here, but I’m pretty happy with how everything has unfolded. You always hope for a big splash and a big name coming onboard but good pieces have been added. If we buy out OEL and move Myers after his signing bonus, I feel like we have done a good job of moving on from our issues and can focus on our (possibly bright) future. Thoughts CDC?
  21. For one, he needs to find his game and stay at the level he can sustain. You can’t get 100% out of everyone every game. As for coaching, we have been juggling lines for how many years now? He looks like he needs a spot and linemates he can play with for a longer period of time. Most players do and we have been trying out stuff for years and dont seem to settle down and work with the same lines. Three, four coaches now and we do the same thing. I’m sure they know better but I think we should plan, execute and give it some time. It’s not like we are close and in a hurry right now. Find some chemistry and work with it. Brock is a good player to have.
