Chance to redeem themselves after the atrocious trade today.

I had so much hope over the last 2 weeks. Should have know that's for fools when it comes to being a Canucks fan.

The deal in a vacuum is fine, it's the timing I don't get at all. We have a 0% chance of making the playoffs, why not be patient, let the season run out and see where that 1st round pick is. It could be an unprotected 1st next year, or it could be 15th overall this year. I just don't get the timing. Very unserious move that points to ownership demanding a faster turnaround. We now got no 1st round picks in the horvat deal. That's gross.

Not exactly young. Will be 27 at least and needing a raise by the time we are competitive again. But again, clearly they are aiming for a 2 year turnaround here so... fun stuff.

Would much rather the 2 years younger dobson based on our team timeline. But I'm sure aquaman is requiring a 2 year retool here

There's pie in the sky hopes -- we somehow dump Garland and boeser without retaining, and then there's more grounded hopes, which is that we trade Garland and retain like 1-2mil.

I'd be happy with minimal retention on Boeser or Garland. We may not need LHD Marcus Petey right now but I'd definitely be happy with getting him for either of those guys.

Twitter is abuzz that it's not Miller and it's not Boeser. If it's Garland I'll personally drive him to the airport a la Mr Burke.
