This is getting pretty ridiculous. The Canucks killed the largest active dedicated sports forum and then forgot to stop paying the utility bills.

I've been known to dabble in ornithology, but also had the opportunity to spend time with Booth. His 'things that make me furl my brow/per hour meter' was high, to say the least.

Very bitter sweet to see this go. What an absolute terrible decision made by the organization.

Honestly, it made me lose some respect for the organization I've supported for over 30 years. It's something we all know, but it sucks to have it shoved in your face. Us the fans, do not matter.
We have supported this team religiously as a community, through thick and thin. Then when they decide our numbers have dropped, it's not worth the financial investment to keep our community together.
Screw them. It was an absolute terrible call that will cost them their mostly loyal fan community.

I thought about it, and I remember my favorite CDC moment.
VOTE FOR RORY.
That was so incredibly stupid. That felt like to me like the birth of the modern internet. I know I know, it wasn't, but it was for me. The NHL didn't know better, and the let us, the fans, make an important discussion. It felt like this grassroots movement by us, the people, to make something ridiculous happen. It's happened other times since, but it's the first time I can remember seeing something so organically happen because of an online community. It was the first thing I remember being part of that went viral.
I don't believe it truely originated here, but I know we were an integral part of making it happen. I remember the campaign online, the T-Shirts, the overwhelming feeling of victory when he got so many votes. It was really and truely a glorious time.
So yeah, that's my favorite moment on CDC.

What a terrible call by the Canucks brass. Decided to close the forum, make fans upset, forget to close forum.
