  1. He's had some good seasons at the AHL level with some poor teams, save pct. of .907, .927, .920, and .918 this season. I'll admit that when I saw him play for Florida this season, he did not look good, but look at Florida. Thomas is able to handle the goals against because he's a veteran. He definitely has potential to be a game-breaking goaltender.
  2. The Panthers aren't a Luongo away from making the playoffs, let alone contend. Lu is 35 this year, by the time the Panthers are done rebuilding, Luongo will be on heavy decline. This needed to be done for the rebuild, and the return is pretty good.
  3. The fact that we got rid of Luongo's contract and got back a young goaltender with huge upside makes this a huge win for us. Of course, we should have never traded Schneider in that case.
  4. So apparently brown eyes are not beautiful? Give me a pair of big browns any day!
  5. It may be a girl's physical appearance that we notice first, but it's their personality that keeps us around. I also apologize for the way that we stare sometimes. I think it's about eye contact and hoping that there is mutual interest.
  6. Man, I can't believe you let this thread die.
  7. I woke up in a good mood today. God damn.

  8. I just finished the game. Without spoiling the game for anyone... This is a game that I cannot stop thinking about. Usually in a game, there is a clear protagonist and an antagonist. In this game, there is no "good guys", just moral ambiguity everywhere. When I look back at everything I participated in, I feel ashamed, but at the same time I understand, but inevitably cannot condone. I keep thinking back on everything that was said in the game, and what the characters when through, and try to gain a perspective on why they did what they did. I think about whether what was done was out of obligation, altruism, or maybe it was out of despair in living in a world that didn't have a purpose. Then again, in a post-apocalyptic world, where everyone lives vicariously draconian, there is no right or wrong...that people weren't worth saving anyways. In many ways, the infected were the most innocent, because their actions were driven only by the survival instinct. In humanity, there's a selfish and selflessness, a benevolence and a malevolence. I really did love this game. Great ending.
  9. Way to split those free throws.
  10. Damn Eva Longoria, your ex-husband is awesome. But damn, this ain't over yet.
  11. Jennifer Lawrence has a great personality, but I don't find her attractive at all. Melanie Iglesias hell yeah.
  12. I don't really care about his offensive contributions, he was never going to replicate the numbers that he produced last year. However, I do expect him to be a top flight defensive defenseman, and I have been somewhat unimpressed. Runs around too much, doesn't show enough poise to make a good play out of the defensive far. I'd like to know what kind of advanced stats he currently holds right now. I know his advanced stats indicated that he was a great defensive player in Florida.
  13. It's more probable that he is shorter than that. Most short players will have an inch or two added as their listed height. I still think it'll be Ebbett that will eventually slot in as the 2nd line center.
  14. Bernier doesn't hold the same value to NHL clubs as Schneider does. Not even close. These GMs are not dumb, they do their due diligence in scouting their potential targets. Not only has Bernier not played up to Schneider's level, but he has not proven himself against easy or tough opposition. I don't even think Bernier has Schneider upside personally. His hybrid style tends to get himself into trouble too often, and he's obviously below average in size. Schneider should be able to step in and be a number one right away. He has the right mindset and character to pull in a larger workload, and be able to bounce back from poor outings. I'm not worried about Schneider's trade value. I'm willing to bet that of the young goaltenders, Schneider is the only one that gets moved...that he's the only guy GMs have big time interest in.
