  8. Except that the programming of the new game is so much better that it cuts down saving time to mere seconds. There is other good stuff too, but I can't remember now because I haven't played 05 in so long.
  9. Preferences Save Compressed [X] ---> Save Compressed [ ] Problem solved. By the way, I laugh at those of you too cheap to shell out $35 and are still playing 2005.
  10. Update (NHL EHM 2007): The Canucks are the 2007-2008 Stanley Cup champions! Although star goaltender Roberto Luongo was injured several times during the season, back-up Antero Niittymaki to fill in admirably, playing an unheard of 25 games. Early season pickup Svatos scored 25 goals in 49 games while off season signing Erik Cole was able to chip in over 55 points including 25 goals. Sedin-Sedin-Naslund Semin-Kaigorodov-Svatos Cole-Weiss-Balej(aka Melichercik) Fedorov-Sutherby-Tootoo Ohlund-Salo McGillis-Sarich Fischer-Mezei Luongo Niittymaki Huge deals at the trade deadline allowed the Canucks to pick up forwards Teemu Selanne from the Ducks and Miroslav Satan and Ray Whitney from Carolina as well as defenseman Ryan Miller from Montreal. The three forwards made huge contributions in their combined 53 games scoring 17 goals for 41 points. Ray Whitney was the biggest contributor with 10 goals and 7 assists in only 21 games while playing on the fourth line and second PP unit. The Canucks beat the Ducks (in 6), the Flames (in 6) and the Blue Jackets (in 5) en route to their 6 game defeat of the surprise, late season surging Penguins. Henrik Sedin was named the Conn Smythe winner and Luongo was the winner of the Crozier and runner up for the Vezina. Henrik Sedin led the team in goals (44), assists (64) and points (108). For the defense, Mattias Ohlund led in assists (41), he shared the lead for points with Sami Salo (52), who in turn shared the lead for scoring (11) with Cory Sarich. Late season free agent signing and long time Canuck Trevor Linden played only 2 games in the playoffs including the final game of the finals. He retired in the following off season. Huge changes were seen over the off season as Markus Naslund signed with Chicago. Salo was traded for picks and Cole was traded for Petr Prucha. Radim Vrbata was picked up from free agency. The Canucks are currently $9m under the cap and are huge favourites for a Stanley Cup repeat.
