canucks currently have the best record of all the canadian teams
who here thinks they can sustain this till season end?
they are on pace for 97 points
i am pleased to update with data from playoff probabilities report (current as at jan 20 - 4 am)
nucks to make playoffs - 83%
oilers - 78%
flamers - 69%
laffs - 52%
jets - 47%
the rest are not worth any ink

Are we sleeping on Kole Lind? 35 points in 41 games. Comets are certainly scoring this year. https://theahl.com/stats/player-stats/390/65

Imagine meeting a girl so pretty that your heart skips a beat every time you even think of her. Imagine her having a beautiful sense of compassion, caring, and understanding. Sounds wonderful right? Now imagine her looking into your eyes genuinely, drawing you in, then she flips a switch and begins playing you like a fiddle.

Disgusted at how Calgary is -9 in goal differential and at the top of the Pacific. Only in Hockey.

Jared McCann the one that got away? Hard to believe we traded him away for Gudbranson and peanuts..
-
"As to the "ask the Panthers about McCann"...meh... Canucks gave up on him far too soon."
Sorry, bad take. At the time, the Canucks got fair value in trade for him, they never "gave up on him." Just because you trade someone doesn't necessarily mean you don't want him anymore, you don't get things for free. The Panthers are the ones who should lament, if anyone. But all this hindsighting is frankly useless anyway, as if you or anyone could project where he'd be now, or can project where he'll be in 5 years. You go on the information you have at the time, a.k.a. present value. NOBODY knows.

Hey @kingofsurrey, you might want to go check on your Kingdom, it looks like they might be getting ready to riot over there.

Oilers can't win or get on the board now that Connor isn't scoring. Shocker.

Sad sad day for Canada. I usually stay out of Politics but this is disgusting.

When you have a choice between the Hell's Angels and Taliban, how does "more turnout" help? Your presumption is that more people voting for the same corrupt tyrants can somehow make things better? It doesn't matter who wins, it's a dog and pony show, a staged circus no more real than WWE.
"More turnout" simply legitimizes the corruption, and says "Yes, I approve of this". That's why in places like Australia where people were fed up and not voting they had to FORCE people to vote, otherwise the charade would be up because the government had the support of so few people they were illegitimate and powerless. If you believe the SYSTEM is fantastic then fine, but if not there's no party that's going to do anything to change let alone fix it.

I'm hoping you are referring to the somewhat low voter turnout, because that is the only sad or disgusting part.
Refusing to participate is the only way things eventually WILL change. Upholding corrupt institutions only further legitimizes and empowers them... unless of course you like and are happy with the way things are.
Quoteits also disgusting that people still support and rally behind immoral people. Politics in general is disgusting and we support leaders who are intellectually and morally corrupt.
People love being duped and manipulated almost as much as they love seeing people in authority with lower character than themselves. Btw, they may be "in power" and authorities, but they most certainly are NOT my "leaders."

I mean, if there's anyone I want Tampa to wake up against it's Toronto. Bless. Lit their defense right up.

Sad to see people take FB advice for health instead of going to a doctor.
-
Perhaps people actually research for themselves? Quite ironic how the assumption is that they just "see it on FB and mindlessly do it" when most people blindly believe whatever their doctor says and pop or inject into their bodies whatever junk he prescribes for them... without even looking around the office and realizing s/he is paid by pharmaceutical companies to pimp their products. Same goes for pharmacists, and I should know as my father was one.
