  1. Canucks schedule is going to be tough to get another W this year, but at the end of the day, we need a top 3 pick badly, so as much as it's going to suck watching them lose every game, it is for the better.
  2. Would love this to happen. Always was a Crow fan!
  3. hahaha BUSTED! but can you really blame the guy?
  4. A lot of people on CDC said Edler was terrible and needs to go now......we'll see how Van does with out him....
  5. Dan Murphy Retweeted Irfaan Gaffar ‏@sportsnetirf 4m4 minutes ago Biega is on his way back from Utica. #Canucks Biega Time!
  6. Since it's Monday, I figured CDC could use a thread keeping it light today. As shown on the main page a couple of weeks ago, the Canucks (Gudbranson, Hutton & Baertschi) designed New Era Hats, with 50% of the proceeds going to their signatures. They are going to be available at the team store soon. What do you guys think of their designs? (Gudbranson made the first one, Hutton the middle one and Baertschi the last two) I can't wait to get my hands on Huttons black one!
  7. Lol...this is the worst argument you can make. You could say that about anybody on the entire team: "Play Dorsett 25 mins a game.....it's ok though, this isn't a playoff team, so it's not hurting" I was simply saying I haven't been impressed with him 35+ games in the NHL, so was hoping we can trying someone else to see what others can bring to the table.
  8. I could not agree more. CDC was pretty horny over Gaunce getting NHL minutes. I haven't been impressed with him since day 1. I get it he's a 4th liner, but even so doesn't seem like he brings anything to the table (excitement, hitting, solid defensive play, etc). Albeit, I have most of the canucks on as background noise, but I'm not a fan and would like to see someone else in the system take his spot and see what they can do. What would be the harm?
  9. No way Condon shuts us out. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!! ....right?
  10. Ok so Bench both the sedins, then who plays?
  11. Not necessarily....I believe Hansen has a no trade clause, so if he doesn't agree to it, he would have to be counted as protected.
  12. * All players who have currently effective and continuing "No Movement" clauses at the time of the Expansion Draft (and who to decline to waive such clauses) must be protected (and will be counted toward their club's applicable protection limits). So technically, we would only protect one, but if Las vegas selected the other one, they could say Nope, and then both sedins would be protected.
  13. You'd rather see Hansen gone next year over Granlund? Interesting....I'm a big Hansen fan, so I would disagree but going younger makes sense. Depends on that kind of year these two have I guess
  14. As yes....I missed the: * All first- and second-year professionals, as well as all unsigned draft choices, will be exempt from selection (and will not be counted toward their club's applicable protection limits). *
  15. After reading the TSN article about trading Ben Bishop ahead of next year expansion draft, I was curious about what the Canucks when it comes time to make a decision on who to protect. Per the rules teams have 2 options in regards to protecting: A ) Seven forwards, three defensemen and one goaltender B ) Eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goaltender I am assuming, the canucks would exercise option A. Who do they protect? That leaves: Virtanen, Granlund, Gaunce, Rodin, Hutton, Sbisa, Tryamkin (I'd assume you send down Stecher & Tryamkin at the end of the year, to ensure they are essentially protected) THOUGHTS? Odds are we lose Hutton or Virtanen at this point?
