  1. Put Thy $ Where The Mouth Is! ('18-19, good, or bad?)

That's more likely to happen the following summer, given who's going to be available, but yes. Hopefully we draft one of the top d-men in this draft

There was your first mistake. Did that with this season and our injury season was worse than last, heh. Certainly hoping for a better injury situation, but we really shouldn't expect a solid team until the year after next anyways. Looking forward to next season, regardless.
  3. Elias Pettersson | C/RW

Eh, McDavid playing in that era would speed past anyone trying to do as much. He's also physically much bigger than Gretzky so has a much better body to deal with it. Additionally, Gretzky had a goon in his lineup to deal with people trying to do as much. McDavid would as well, so that point is pretty moot.

I'd agree with this, except there's definitely the factor of the NHL being a longer season than the SHL or college hockey or SM Liiga, so we shouldn't have our expectations too high. Plus there's the Canucks' injury factor. Either way, next year should be good, and the year after should be great.

We also don't have a GM that won't leave our lineup without veterans to help lead the team. I'm not worried.

Ah, my bad. Missed that one. Obviously not the same situation as the Oilers, because... they... didn't... nevermind :/
  7. Elias Pettersson | C/RW

You want to be the Oilers? That lineup lacks much needed experience
  8. Thanks for the schedule!
  9. Cole Cassels | C

Ya, I'd like to see at least another year. If he doesn't show much improvement in that time over last, then fine, let him go.
  10. Lukas Jasek | RW

2 assists in today's 3-2 loss vs the Marlies. Now has 5 points in 2 AHL games played. What a beast.
  11. Olli Juolevi | D

When they get beat 1 on 1? I think not. Edit: At 38:50 is at least 1 instance of this happening, though isn't as clear cut as some other times.
  12. Olli Juolevi | D

Probably should have clarified that his problem was getting beat by the faster prospects at the tournament on the opposing teams. Happened multiple times in the games he played
  13. Olli Juolevi | D

That was the biggest problem I noticed he had during the prospects tournament. Hopefully he learns how to improve on that. Mind you, if he didn't actually get beat in this game, maybe he has.

    Thanks for the updates.
  15. 2014 - Was happy we drafted Virtanen (still not disappointed, yet) 2015 - Wanted a defenseman (don't remember who was available (besides Kylington as mentioned by HorvatToBaertchi) but wanted one of them) 2016 - Again wanted a defenseman. I believe I was leaning more towards Chychrun (the previous years' hype) or Sergachev, but was glad we picked a defenseman 2017 - Other posters had me sold on Vilardi (along with highlight vids), but without any real knowledge my only issue with the Petterson pick was his slight frame. Would have probably went with Glass if Vilardi had been taken beforehand 2018 - Would like a high end defenseman again. Boqvist or Bouchard. Either should be fine
