  1. Pronger's game isn't all about fighting, man. He stepped on Kesler's leg too... I'm JK. Pronger's defensive game would be very good for Tryamkin to watch. Guy was a stud on D
  2. They need to sign Tyler Barr and put them on a line together. The Foo Barr line
  3. Thornton's cap hit is already included. Everyone's cap hit per that site is from their current contract (didn't actually check how many of those end at the end of this season, mind you) I see Williams as a performer when it matters, and IMO that squad could make the post season. Even this post season he had 9 points in 13 games. A reliable veteran. I'm not a big fan of Oshie, but I don't totally disagree with you. Could also do something like take Shattenkirk from the Caps and take Brown instead of McNabb from LA, though the cap hit goes up a bunch from that. Nice to have more space, especially with all the younger players, which many of them will have significant cap hit increases
  4. As I posted in the draft simulator thread: This is what I'd go for. Has like 7.5 mil cap space (assuming 73 Mil cap) Marchessault Thornton Neal Versteeg Burmistrov Strome Burrows Karlsson Williams King Eakin Upshall Bournival Matthias Weal Rychel Gaunce Khoklachev Vatanen Bogosian Gelinas Dumba Merrill Pouliot McNabb Reinhart Pokka Petr Mrazek Antti Raanta Eddie Lack This would give them a competitive team now, and a competitive team going forward Not a big fan of Button's list in general, though there's obviously some overlap. And as other people have said, Button's probably speculating on some deals in place to keep certain players from being selected

  6. So what you're saying is that by 2025 Bettman won't be in charge and someone that actually gives a @#$% about fairness in the league will be? Fat chance of that heppning
  7. Full body check? He's hitting his head with his shoulder in that screenshot. How about this angle? Sure looks like the body was contacted there... Or the video from that angle https://twitter.com/i/videos/tweet/795075808087842817 Definitely not a similar head hit... Though on the topic of this thread, take a look at the suspension Marchand just got. Wasn't looking at Dotchin at all yet the ruling was that it was intent to injure
  8. Only responding because you clearly misread what I wrote. In the play where Smith got hit, his shoulder was contacted first, just as Daniel's was. I already described the other differences. Feel free to ignore the logical, though
  9. So you're fine with 2 plays where the same thing happens one gets suspended and the other doesn't? OK then. That's about all there is to say to you regarding things. As I said before, keep drinking their koolaid
  10. How bout you watch the clip I asked you to watch again. That's EXACTLY what happened in that video. He hit the shoulder first. You can see the jersey move before contact with the head is made. If anything, Kadri's hit is worse as Smith is moving and does adjust his position whereas Daniel is skating in a straight line and doesn't alter his position.
  11. Watch from 4:27 of this video to wherever the end of that clip is. By this ruling, it is clear Kadri should have been suspended for his hit on D Sedin. This alone leaves me to call this video useless, as clearly they don't give a #^&$ about the rules they themselves set, and I don't agree with them anyways. The idea that 'targeting the head' is a requirement for suspension is a joke, as they can whim any way they want with regards to any possible suspension
  12. you have a link to said rule? I've never heard them say anything like that (aside from incidental contact). The whole point of this thing is to mitigate the amount of concussions
  13. I'm sure Burrows is considered more offensive with the various comments he's made on the ice throughout the years
  14. Not the principal point of contact? The only thing that hit first before McLeod's arm into the side of Baertschi's head was their feet. Go watch the video again
