  1. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

I went through a lot of draft picks to check their draft weight compared to their fully grown weight and most guys put on around 20lbs. Most likely Pettersson will end up around the 180-190lb range which will be fine. The Sedins have done fine for being slender and 185lbs. I can only see it being a problem if he is like his brother and only ends up being in the 175lb range, in that case he'll probably still be a great NHL player but will most likely be a winger and maybe not as dominant as we all hope.
  2. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

He did? I searched far and wide and saw nothing about Forsberg weighing 165lbs at the draft. All I could find was this pick. Looks pretty solid to me
  3. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

How great would it be for Benning to snag another 1st this year with all the high end D prospects available...
  4. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

I think Pettersson will end up as a center in the NHL, his defensive game is too strong to have him on the wing. Maybe for his first few years while he gains size and strength he'll have to be a winger but if Turris can be a quality NHL center as a tall skinny guy than Pettersson can do it as well
  5. Olli Juolevi | D

8 Days since any updates on Juolevi. Anybody catch any of his games or have any updates on his play of late?
  6. Adam Gaudette | C

Also Brock played with some pretty dam good linemates and he seems to be doing quite well in the NHL.
  7. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

True but it also took the Sedins until their D+6 year to score over 50pts. Same with Turris who is a tall skinny guy. Wasn't until 7 years post draft he put up over 50pts. Elias will be an elite player for us no doubt. Might take some patience though
  8. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

Ehlers is an absolutely elite skater though. A guy can get away with being small if he has elite skating like Ehlers or Gaudreau (probably the best edgework in the league). Pettersson doesn't really have that.
  9. Kole Lind | RW

Both Steenbergen and Phillips are 98' born just like Lind. Lind was just drafted a year later because he is born just after the cutoff date in Oct. The only difference is that this is Steenbergen's 4th full year in the WHL vs the 3rd full year for Phillips and LInd.
  10. Elias Pettersson | C/LW

I could see Gaudette getting a spot if the Sedins retire. He's not just a pure offensive forward and can play a solid responsible 200ft game, also he's 21 now so he's more physically mature than Petterson. Judging by Stecher and Boeser being able to step onto the team right away I feel the NCAA is pretty good for preparing guys to play in the NHL. Pettersson has the skill but still needs a year or so to get stronger to be ready for the rigors of the NHL.
  11. Guillaume Brisebois | D

Read something that had Trent Cull talking about how great him and Chatfield have been for the Comets. Both have just been rock solid and really impressive for first year pro's. That's all I got
  12. Reid Boucher | LW

    *Fast enough.
  13. Olli Juolevi | D

    Didn't he played this morning?
  14. Kole Lind | RW

Good stuff. Always good to see how prospects stack up against their peers, will be a good opportunity for LInd to showcase himself for a WJC selection as well.
  15. I think once this team is filled with new and exciting players the ticket sales will go up again. People will pay to see an exciting product even if we're losing. A team that loses but is filled with guys like Pettersson, Boeser, Gaudette, Dalen, Juolevi, Horvat, Virtanen vs Guys like the Sedins, Eriksson, Vanek, Sutter will be worth paying to see.
