  1. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

Maybe not next season but i think these lines would look good down the road. Sedin - Sedin - Sutter Eriksson- Horvat - Boeser Baertschi - Granlund - Hansen Virtanen - Gaunce - Rodin Dorsett Edler - Tanev Hutton - Gudbranson Juolevi - Stetcher Sbisa - Tryamkin Markstrom ???
  2. Erik Gudbranson | #44 | D

Oh Man, thx a ton dude !!
  3. Olli Juolevi | D

Alf if i didn't know better I'd say you were Val Venis
  4. Bo Horvat Talk

The days of the "4th line" are over my friend, more and more teams are running all there lines and in the West it's the only way to survive. Also no one is really "stuck" on a line they will play there way up or down.
  5. Bo Horvat Talk

Lol ok my turn I could see it shaking out to something like this if Horvat makes the team. D. Sedin - H. Sedin - Vrbata Matthias - Bonino - Burrows Higgins - Vey - Kassian Richardson <-> Horvat - Hansen Sestito, Dorsett Richardson and Horvat can alternate as needed.
  6. Evan McEneny | D

Because we're not making the playoffs and its also not a good situation up on the big club for a young player to soak up.
  7. Bo Horvat Talk

We shouldn't be penciling Horvat into next seasons line up at this point. If he comes in and earns a spot then great but another year of Junior wouldn't be bad either. When I look at Horvat I'm reminded a bit of Mark Scheifele and how he was brought up, both being similar players in my mind with similar shortcomings coming out of the draft (mainly skating). Horvat has some speed which I'm not debating but his overall agility and edge-work need some more developing. A strong off season and I'm sure he can make some strides in that department but even then it wouldn't be a bad idea to let him play another season in London so he can get game repetitions in a league he is already comfortable in. Really, he just needs to work on physical aspects of his game at this point because mentally I'd say he's NHL ready. Personally I'd only want Horvat on the team if he will be an impact player in some regard so next training camp + the first 9 or so games of the season will tell. If everything stays the same and Jensen continues to have success with Hank and Burr I'd like to see something like this next season: Burrows - H. Sedin - Jensen D. Sedin - Kesler - Santorelli Higgins - Mattias - Kassian Booth - Richardson - Hansen If other prospects come and steal a job great.
  8. Exciting time of year and since everyone else is sitting comfortably in there GM armchairs, throwing out Pit - Van proposals I couldn't resist. DISCLAIMER: Bennett has been on IR since late November with a wrist injury and has very recently suffered a set back that's going to cost him another 3-4 weeks (peculiar timing? maybe). With him being injured I don't think we can include him in any package that goes down before the trade deadline and I think he's a must have if were to move Kesler to PIT. Regardless of injuries, for me an ideal package involving Pittsburgh would look something like To : Pittsburgh Kesler - Elite 2way 2nd line Center Tommernes - Bottom pairing + 1st/2nd PP McNally - Bottom pairing + 1st/2nd PP To : Vancouver Sutter - Very good 2way 3rd/2nd (tweener) line Center Bennett - Top 6 Scoring winger Despres - Top 4 Offensive Dman Dumoulin - Top 4 2way Dman or Harrington - Top 4 Shutdown Dman I Ask for Sutter, Maatta, Bennett and "settle" for the above. Pittsburgh is happy to acquire Kesler while still retaining Maatta, Pouliot, and one of Dumoulin/Harrington in the system, I'm happy I get a much needed infusion of talented youth into our system. I'm hearing a lot of "quality over quantity" but I feel confident we check off both in this trade and pull the trigger, our organization has a lot of holes to fill on all levels. I break it down like this, We essentially know what we're getting in Sutter and I wouldn't be surprised if we could squeeze some more offense out of him to go with that great defensive game, sometimes a change of scenery is all that's needed ala Brad Richardson. Bennett gives us a young, NHL ready skill winger who could play top 6 min. as soon as next season. Despres gives us a young, NHL ready skill Dman who wouldn't look any worse then the guys we have running the power play ATM. Dumoulin and Harrington are both roughly a couple seasons away from being full timers IMO but regardless I feel everyone here is quality and measure in at 6ft 2in or +. Since I already have the reigns, I might as well trade Edler + Gaunce to OTT for Zibanejad + Mark Stone..... Whew that was fun, but let's step back into reality for a sec. I'd have to say that while Pittsburgh might want Kesler really badly and those are the most prominent rumors being heard right now, I might not consider them our most ideal trade partner due to guys like Bennett (injured) and Maatta (by most accounts an untouchable) being off the table. I wouldn't be satisfied with a Sutter, Pouliot+1st deal either as it would create more holes then it would fill and make our team much worse. In any case here's the silver lining to all this. STL shakes up the trade market yesterday by aquiring Miller (rumoured to be willing to resign) + Steve Ott and look like the team to beat in the West right now. Then there's Kesler to Pits rumours flying around which would make Pittsburgh the team to beat in the East +Kesler has 2 years remaining on his contract which would move Pits into potential dynasty territory because that team has all its stars locked up. At some point other GM's are going to HAVE to step in if they want to stay relevant and Kesler is the biggest fish in the pond ATM.
  9. Not the point I was trying to convey but I guess that's one way to look at it
  10. Sounds like WPG is putting big Buff up front as a forward so that should tell you guys what there needs are.
  11. Jordan Schroeder Talk

Watched a few Wolves games over the week and Schroeder reminds me a lot of David Desharnais in MTL except with a better shot. If he keeps developing the way he has been lately I think he could put up similar numbers as well (60-65pts). Heck we could form our own version of Pacioretty - Desharnais - E.Cole in a couple years --> Jensen - Schroeder - Kassian. Having 2 power wingers would give Jordan the "freedom" to play his game and produce offensively the way he is capable of.
  12. Nicklas Jensen Talk

It's a culture change and everyone will slowly learn that we don't rush our prospects...even the media.
  13. Nicklas Jensen Talk

He has all the tools to make room for himself in the pro's and speed doesn't seem to be an issue with Jensen, he seems to have a very strong stride. He obviously needs to be developed properly but the Rick Nash comparisons have been pretty spot on as to the type of player he could be in the future.
