  1. My fave Canuck defense prospect. Love seeing him do well. Can't wait to see him on the Canucks in a few years.
  2. 1st star of the game...I've experienced buyer's remorse...I think I am feeling trade deadline day seller's remorse. Couldn't be happier for Burr tho. He deserves alot more credit then he was getting around these parts these last couple of seasons.
  3. I'm glad Burrows gets to go out on a high note...People around the league are seeing just how valuable he is...we knew it all along. Thank You Alex Burrows, for never quitting, for being yourself and living the dream.
  4. Every game I've seen Patrick play in he hasn't been overly noticeable compared to others on the ice. I honestly feel like this fanbase would ruin him with over hype. If the Canucks get 1st overall I hope they trade it or take Hiscier
  5. Seriously...can you even read? It was dumb to pass on Tkachuk...but I am happy that we picked OJ...WTF dude. you are officially blocked.
  6. reading must not be your strong suit...If you go thru this thread, or even read what I had written from which you quoted, I said I am ok with OJ, I am nothing but a fan of this team. You seem to be the one trolling
  7. I said MT would have been ruined by our coaching staff, but thanks for coming out
  8. I don't think so. I really believe that Poolparty will be an elite player in the future. It was dumb to pass on Tkachuk...Hated his lineage, but was hoping the Canucks had taken him. I am not upset that we got Juolevi in the end, because I know that if we had drafted MT, there is a huge possibillity that this coaching group would have either ruined him or buried him on the third or 4th line with very little chance for success.
  9. That is very nice to see... Very happy he had an amazing game. One of my favorite prospects in our system. I think sky's the limit for this kid, but most of you know that already.
  10. I think Jensen was able to leave because he was an import draft player. Jake Virtanen had no option to go to Europe. I'm not trying to be combative, but I have to disagree with the SEL being more physical than the CHL, especially because of the larger ice surface which lends itself to a puck possession, and not physical style of hockey. ANy hardening in Nylander's game came from playing in the AHL...I dunno if you have watched many Leaf's games this year, but whatever offensive upside Nylander brings is seriously hampered by his lack of defensive effort...This is a huge problem for the entire Leaf team, but you won't see that headline on Sportsnet.ca And what good is getting more ice time, in what my mind is not even a better league. Definetly won't be any more physical than the CHL.
  11. If this is the case, then I am assuming the CHL team would have had to have released him to go play. Is this something that either London or OJ is interested in? And how beneficial would it be for OJ to go play on international ice in mist likely a reduced role as opposed to the #1 guy on North American ice where he'll most likely get the juiciest ice time in terms of PP time.
  12. I'm pretty sure having played in the CHL voids him of being eligible to play in those pro leagues. The knights drafted him and hold his rights until he is 20, unless his NHL team keeps him. This is why Matthews went straight to Switzerland to play, and was never drafted by a CHL team. Similar to IIHF transfer agreement type legal mumbo jumbo
  13. Edler has always been blessed playing with top offensive talent, so alot of his points are attributed to the quality of his linemates...The one year he played in the WHL, was with the defending Memorial cup champion Kelowna Rockets who went on to have another appearance in the tournament later that year. His offensive output should be looked at with a keen eye, especially when you consider he couldn't get a shot on net if his grand mother's life depended on it.
  14. Its just the way you talk with the utmost certainty that he isn't going to be good....so yea...again,I ask, why is your opinion better than mine? And I am the delusional one?
  15. If WD is still here I would say hell no...In fact I say Hell no because I feel it would hurt the players ahead of OJ. We all know that he isn't going to stick (I am not being negative, just real), so why disrupt this team's chemistry as well as the London Knights chemistry. Maybe give him some pre-season, but again, the Canucks priority should be getting the best roster together for the Canucks. Guys like Subban, Pedan and McEneny are all going to be coming at this roster hard if they give a damn about their careers.
  16. I wish it were the way you suggested...but I refuse to sit back and have people lowball the potential of our prospects. I wish these Prospect pages were just for updates...but no. Just head over to the trainwreck that is the Jake Virtanen thread. That is some serious self serving posting going on over there. My only argument to the 5th line is that why can't GB top out at Edler like numbers when they were basically drafted in the same position. Where do these top calibre NHL D_men come from, if not from the draft?
  17. Top pairing. Better than Edler. Playing first unit PP, and 24 mins a night. Explain to me how my projection for GB, to top out at Edler like numbers is not realistic when they were drafted in the exact same range? Why is your version of reality more accurate than mine when history would agree with me?
  18. I'm not talking about THOSE players... I am being optimistic about a 3rd round D-man prospect with Captain potential and a professional attitude. Whose comparable is ANOTHER 3rd rounder that plays for our very same organization who had his best point totals the same seasons that he played on the same line as the eventual Art Ross trophy winners. Your negative perspective dosn't give you any special insight or credibility to determine player potential. *edited for s[elling
  19. Brisebois will be able to play 20 mins a night in his prime no problem. Edler hit 40 points twice in his career and came close a third time...I would not be surprised if Brisebois could hit 40 with the same opportunities given to him that Edler received. Which round was Edler drafted in again? Oh yea, the 3rd... I'm sure you would have been slagging Edler before he ever played an NHL game as well... You just seem like the type.
  20. Thats fine. I'd rather the Canucks management commit to the knights and let OJ play there. Another year of Junior is not detrimental to a young players development, especially if it is on a competitive team with a proven track record of quality coaching. Unless he gets traded to the hitmen, I hope he stays in the CHL
  21. Is OJ eligible for Utica next season?
  22. I have always liked this pick...I can see him being as good defensively in the NHL as Edler, but he will actually be able to get a shot on net when needed. Solid 3rd rounder. I am more excited for the Comets next year than I am for the Canucks. I hope Zhukes gets a look in Utica as well. Is OJ eligible for Utica, because if he is having Brisebois and OJ together could be the start of something great.
  23. I think I might be one of the only people in this thread not over reacting. And this comments proves you think your horse is higher than mine. I'm glad Jake had a good game, and believe he will finish the year strong in Utica under Green. I'm not looking at his stat line after every Comets game and coming on here complaining because he didn't score any points. I hope Jake dosn't get a call up regardless of how he does. Until Utica is done, he should stay there. I am being realistic and patient with my expectations of his development.
  24. Hating on a player, no longer here... a thinly veiled compliment with underlying sentiments of detraction towards a current prospect...what are you trying to achieve with this post? I wish all of the haters for haters sake would just **** off already...This thread is a perfect example of why this team's fanbase is hated throughout the league. There is way too much attention being put on a 20 year old prospect that needs to simmer in the minors... Find a new hobby
  25. great Comparison... ANOTHER bonfide NHL'er, and an All-Star to boot, that didn't break out well into his 20's. The people hating on Jake just want to have something to complain about, and if he does bust, they will be able to say, "I told you so." These are the types of people that are no fun at parties. CDC is full of them unfortunately.
