  1. Well at least it'll feel like home Hopefully my rental car doesnt have crap tires.
  2. Ugh, COME ON! I don't wanna deal with snow this weekend for my trip out there! BOOOOOOO.
  3. I've been loving Burr since he was rocking the MTS centre a few years back. So damn valuable to any team, even if his english is brutal
  4. Taking a quote from my avatar guy eh? haha If you'd gladly take some of the snow from us here i'd appreciate it. It snowed like hell 2 days ago, now its -30 again. I cant see through intersections or out of my driveway cause the snow is piled so high.
  5. Love that track, you've inspired me to put it on. It sucks I missed their tour. Now I've got Rod Stewart- Young Turks.
  6. This is true, only the ones at the Assiniboine park zoo. You win sir, you win.
  7. Sounds like my car doors, luckily for me I kept on top of the shoveling to allow myself one short run to the airport lol
  8. YES, love this place High -22°C -21°C -27°C -23°C -20°C -20°C (MTWTF) This is why ima GTFO from here on monday. Thats the 5 day forecast
  9. I'd be rocking my spring jacket. I remember last feb I came to Vancouver it was -27 here, and 12 there. It was like a huge weight off my shoulders when i stepped out of the airport lol.
  10. hmm, i know the pain there. Its -21 here in the Peg, warmest its been in over a week. High tomorrow is -25 though, feeling like -36. sick.
  11. No one ever rick rolls to "together forever"....what gives. On the plus side, it wasnt -40 for the first time in 5 days today! woo!
  12. It is possible, however I can confirm I have set foot in -55 or colder, right in my own backyard lol. However yea, 60 degrees hasnt occured yet. You can tell him Mike the weatherguy on CDC told ya that info
  13. How could you stay locked in your room?! what hotel I love the Vegas heat of the Summer time. I remember driving from Denver to Las Vegas. We hit the Kennedy Pass in Colorado and it was 8 degrees in the mountains. I told my buddy to not touch or open the window till we got to Nevada. We stepped out of the car in Mesquite, NV two hours from Vegas, car temp was reading 43 degrees Celsius, a feeling ill never forget. I love stepping outside knowing I need shorts, and knowing a cool pool is the only way to go! According to Wikipedia tho: "the hottest temperature ever recorded is 117 °F (47 °C) set twice, on July 19, 2005, at McCarran International Airport and July 24, 1942, at present-day Nellis Air Force Base." So perhaps you were in around a feeling of 50 or so degrees, its never been 60...anywhere. 57.8 °C (136 °F) Al 'Aziziyah, Libya 13 September 1922 World Record. Yes...im a weather nerd, and a Las Vegas nerd. On another note, it finally stopped snowing in the WPG.
  14. We're talking Celsius? Not to make a counter argument or anything, but if we are: Las Vegas, and Nevada as a whole has never seen a high above 52. However Fahrenheit its above 60 all year round practically Hopefully i didnt rain on parades and such.
  15. It looks pretty yea, but I'd be pissed if I was in Vegas and it snowed on me lol. Seems to not go well with holidays down there. No pools, no palm trees, no warmth, no transport. People are in a panic down there lol. It will melt im sure in 2-3 days seeing as its normal high is like 55 or so around this time of year.
  16. Friends in Las Vegas got stranded today, Vegas was hit by its largest snow storm in over 30 years. Pics: http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-164900 City is shut down entirely, looks weird with palm trees covered in snow. My memories of Vegas are from the middle of June and April's spent down there with temps between 85-115. This is weird
  17. Thank you... Despite the scientific evidence the poster seemed to provide. I strongly urge getting behind a wheel and experiencing -40 driving. Its hardly easy, nor is it traction worthy. Considering as a Winnipeger I deal with -5 winter driving in November, December, March, and April coupled with -40 driving in December, January and Feb. I can tell you from experience its worse in -40. Even though it appears dry, the tires dont do anything they're supposed to cause they are too cold and hard.
  18. That would be my logic, id rather not have my car totaled by some guy in an SUV thinking he is invincible in the snow around there.
  19. Excuse me? LOL The entire road surface is slippery, even winter tires at -40 dont react well because they harden up. Winnipeg has been a skating rink for the last two weeks or so. I fail to understand how ice....at....a colder temp....is not slippery.
  20. I cant stop laughing at this thread Vancouverites are funny The day University of Manitoba is closed due to snow ill eat my block heater cord. This is why i'd love to live in Vancouver, if it snowed i'd be the only guy casually cruising around. Well me and the transplanted Albertans, Winnipegers and Saskatcheweans
  21. Very true, take a cruise down to Bellingham. Or even check out Tirerack.com...almost always the cheapest even with exchange.
  22. All I can say boys and girls is welcome to Canada. . At least its not -40 in downtown Vancouver like it is here! Count your blessings
  23. Just you wait fellow pegger, weather is supposed to hit the toilet by the weekend. Welcome back to the real world. For the record, im sure SK is no better .
