  1. Zack Kassian Talk

ABSOLUTELY! Gillis brought in Kassian to be physical. The Sedins need protection. Kassian should protect the Sedins. Once the Sedins know that somebody has their back, they'll be able to return to form. If Vigneault isn't going to play Kassian with the Sedins, then Kassian belongs on the fourth line.
  2. Kevin Bieksa you are really...

Agreed. Hamhuis and Bieksa are great on the ice for about 95% of the game but when they mess up they mess up in a way that leads to a premium scoring chance. That cannot happen if the Canucks want to go deep. These mistakes HAVE to be corrected because these 'easy' goals are the ones that make the game out of reach for us.
  3. What are you listening to?

^^ Same thing happens to me every time I see that episode. This is the clean version but the explicit version is much better.. just search up 'blame game dirty' Beautiful song. Kanye goes full frontal with emotion on this one and Chris Rock's part is heart breaking.
  4. Burrows? Do We Really Need Him?

What a dramatic game for Burrows. Scores the first goal, gets robbed by Niemi afterwards, takes the penalty that results in the GTG, gets slew footed by Vlasic, then wins the game for us on the shootout.
  5. Jordan Schroeder Talk

Well he was drafted in 09. Considering we have patience and can develop our prospects properly, you don't think Schroeder will be given every opportunity to improve? Connauton never got a call up either. Nor did Bill Sweatt. Gillis is letting them develop.
  6. Kevin Bieksa you are really...

You're arguing with a guy that thinks Rick Rypien is a legitimate NHL player.
  7. Kevin Bieksa you are really...

:D Said all off-season/pre-season/pre-Hamhuis return that a Hamhuis-Bieksa pairing would be great. Bieksa had his best year with a defensive defenseman, Mitchell, but their downfall was that they were both too slow and couldn't play a transitional game to save their life. Hamhuis replaced all of Mitchell's good qualities (sound defensively, physical, able to shut down players) and eliminated his bad ones.. a much better skater, a much better puckhandler, and a much better outlet passer. Love the Hamhuis-Bieksa pairing but I must admit I was a downer on Bieksa. Glad he has proven me wrong but I knew as soon as Hamhuis/Bieksa were paired, they would have great chemistry. I can't wait until Salo comes back, however.. a Hamhuis-Salo shutdown pair is just too sweet to pass up, but I do dread a Ballard-Bieksa pairing.
  8. Kevin Bieksa you are really...

He played well physically tonight. I think it was a hit against Hudler where, after his initial hit on him, he pushed Hudler into the boards pretty hard. I wouldn't blame the defense for tonight's loss. Ehrhoff had a bad pinch, yes, but Zetterberg's first goal deflated the team while we had momentum.
  9. Alex Friesen Talk

    How old is he?
  10. Darren Archibald | RW/LW

We'll be perennial Calder Cup contenders.
  11. yeah frack I don't even wanna do the three sheets but what can you do, right?

  12. OMG Snow?

I hope not. Don't have snow tires and probably won't get any.
  13. Jordan Schroeder Talk

I saw some great passes from Schroeder but he didn't have a great game. I'd like to see him play with Raymond and Kesler. Cockiness and selfishness don't necessarily go hand in hand. The way I see it, cockiness is fine- even beneficial- as long as the compete level matches the level of cockiness. And there is nothing more agitating than cockiness.
