I hate it when someone yells hello in a horror movie. Like what do you expect? The killer is going to come out and and start having a heart to heart conversation on why they're killing people?
It still just annoys me so much. Run out of the house people. Or hide somewhere, like a closet or bathroom. Almost 100% of the time someone walks slowly and yells "hello? Who's there?" And boom, 5 seconds later they're dead.
It drives me nuts when those same people decide to back up when going down a hallway thinking they're keeping an eye on where a noise came from, only to have the killer actually be behind them in the other direction. They deserve to die.
Well, the kicker is in many horror movies, the victims don't know they're in a horror movie until it's too late. Saying "Hello?" when you're not sure if someone is near you is totally reasonable, and I've seen people in real life do it many, many times.
