  1. The West is going to be exciting. It sucks to see all the big injuries heading into the playoffs, would have been fun to see what the teams fully healthy could have done. (Jamal Murray, Jaylen Brown ... to an extent Klay Thompson)
  2. Sutter's bad contract was expiring so DimJim needed to act swiftly to secure another overpaid 3rd liner for another 3 years.
  3. Everyone jumping on the Brooklyn hype train when the trade went through. They are sucking now and with KD out they are essentially a mirror image of the Wizards. 2 offensively gifted guards that couldn't defend worth a lick. DJ is on his last legs, trading Allen was a mistake. Cavs picked him up for free which was a score, and now they can trade Drummond for assets. Joe Harris is a poor man's Kyle Korver. Dwindiddie was the most competent defender and he's out for the season. I don't see them getting out of the East at all.
  4. Why is Loui not on the list for me to click?
  5. Maybe it was Hughes plan all along. We know Tkachuk plays dirty game, this would prevent him from decapitating our best promising young player.
  6. Still bummed we lost Toffoli because too many plugs in the bottom.
  7. I'm in the same wagon. I can't wrap my head around this underground currency that's seems to be conjured from thin air. I played around with it back in the day but my heart couldn't handle the massive influxes of my money going up and down $2000 every 10 minutes. I cashed out and pretty much broke even, and then never touched it again. I mean in hindsight I wish I had stayed in but whatever my mentality is can't cry over spilt milk. I'm just glad I didn't lose, and carry on with life. I've semi-jokingly said that if one day the coin suddenly just goes dark or craters, there's going to be mass suicides. I have a co-worker that has a LOT of her savings in there... I didn't want to be the one giving her life advice but I casually mentioned she should cash out sooner rather than later, don't be too greedy. She tells me she's gonna ride it until it quadruples then she's gonna retire ...
  8. To also add a small note: Most hockey players on average need to come FROM a slightly higher income household because hockey gear, skates, ice rinks require much more capital investment than say a guy with a ball and going to a free outdoor hoop in the park.
  9. I have discussed this over many a beer with some friends a while back. I don't know about Kane's situation but I think a lot of it has to do with upbringing. Many athletes (particularly or stereotypically African-American) didn't always get the best education and came from very low income families before they got rich and famous for being athletically gifted. What do you do when suddenly you are lavished with millions of dollars overnight? You don't know how to spend it properly, you suddenly have a hundred more "friends and relatives" come out of the woodwork looking for a handout. You have no concept of savings because you had nothing to start with, you buy a 10 million dollar house along with a 500k car and don't realize with expensive assets comes high taxes, insurance and maintenance. Women are throwing themselves at you and suddenly you are paying child support for multiple families. Managers and "Financial Advisors" start calling you out of the blue with investment ideas telling you they "got your back" with how to handle your money. Those are common stories you see online from NFL/NBA leagues which coincidentally seem to be black-dominant sports. I hear it less from NHL... which is pre-dominantly Caucasian. That's just my observations.
  10. NBA is having it rough already. They reported zero cases at start of season but just recently Philly was forced to play a game with only 7 players and now they are postponing games left right and center.
  11. FINALLY! The only roll he's getting now is rolling on out of here.
  12. Gonna run out of brands pretty quickly haha jk
  13. I have a lot of relatives and ex-coworkers in Japan ... I hope they are alright ...
