  1. Damn, can't access the new URL up at work.. my company has it blocked as being unsafe. Guess I won't be on there half the time.
  2. They can't take any cap back, so it will make a trade tough for them. A team that has the cap space won't want to give up their draft capital or their prospects. And teams that are willing to give those up won't have the room to take on his full cap hit without giving cap back. They might be able to facilitate a 3 way trade where they give a team a pick or so to take on 50% of his cap hit. Then a team that is competing might be able to fit him in.
  3. Hogs isn't waiver exempt due to age and years in the league. He's been in the league for 3 years, and signed his first contract when he was 19, but since he turned 20 before Dec 31st of that year, he was deemed to be a 20 year old. A player who signs at 20, is only exempt for 3 years, so last season was Hogs last exempt year.
  4. He'd have to be waived to start the year in Abby. He's on an NHL contract and is no longer waiver exempt, so in order to play for Abby this year he'll have to clear waivers.
  5. Super happy with this signing! I think Hogs is currently our best young player, at this point in I put him above Pods.
  6. Bingo. There's a reason he's not signed, and it's not because he's weighing all his options.
  7. Yep, he wouldn't be the guy I would want to trade if he was on my team. I'd honestly choose Marner, but because of his NMC he's not going anywhere.
  8. Definitely seems like they've put themselves in a bad place, rather than doing something with one of the big 4 earlier. And I don't even think just Nylander going will get them under the cap. Also they will want zero cap coming back, so that drops the teams able to trade for him substantially, and those teams won't want to give up futures or picks.
  9. So he did. Then I guess it's Nylander and something else, as they'll be roughly 8m over if this signing happens.
  10. If this happens, you gotta think one of the big 4 are gone. Likely Nylander, but wouldn't be surprised to see Marner gone.
  11. While Petey is definitely in for a big raise, that will take up the majority of the Cap increase. Podz is not due for much of a raise at all, unless he takes a huge step this year. Hronek will take about 2-3m of Myers cap coming off the books. So we will still have 6-7m+ to play with easily after this season for next year. But yeah, 25-26 and 26-27 where we have a $4.76m cap hit, that's going to hurt bad.
  12. I'm heading to Van for the week of July 10-14th for work. Thinking of hitting the Whitecaps game on the 12th vs Austin FC. I've never been to a Whitecaps game before, only games in England. Was thinking of getting tickets for the Southsiders section, is grabbing a seat in that section the best or purchasing a GA ticket? Also any other recommendations for getting the most out of the game?
  13. If anything gets done, I hope it is Garland going with Hog replacing him. Will be hard to move him with this cap hit and years remaining though, might be easier to move Beau since he's on his final year.
  14. I don't hate Myers at all, and think he's actually a good d-man. He's just overpaid for what he is, and when he's relied on too heavily the gaffs start showing up and he starts trying to do too much. If Myers was paid 4m, I don't think the team would be trying to replace him.
  15. I am also starting to feel like this is going to happen. I feel like we are trying to get rid of Myers and will sign Dumba for 1 or 2 years on the cheap(3-4m/yr)
  16. Bringing him back lol. I remember when the hype for this guy was insane.
  17. He just got a big chunk of money from being bought out. Take a low salary this year and play for a contender with the chance to win the cup. Makes a lot of sense for him.
  18. I feel like Lou has finally lost it.. All his most recent contract signings have been terrible, too much and too long.
  19. Less tax in Nashville, would take home $600k a year less in BC on that salary than in Nashville. But it's very possible he had no desire to come to Vancouver, not everyone wants to move there.
  20. Literally the only thing they have been speaking about for the last 10mins
  21. Would've loved Ingram as a back up, could easily play 30 games a year and play well. But I didn't expect the Coyotes to let him walk.
