Blackhawks core veterans “have had enough”
canucks.brad replied to grandmaster's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Big Chicago fan here but Toews and Kane have no one to blame but themselves here. Their contracts are massive and eat up a lot of cap space. Yes they have earned it, but it has hampered their ability to ice a competitive team. Also the Saad for Panarin trade killed them... As someone else mentioned as well, it's great they have the fire in them, even after 3 cup wins! -

Rumor New Home and Away Jerseys for Canucks

What makes the orca logo laughing stocks? Let's say it was inspired by Orca Bay. What difference does it make? The orca is as much west coast as a lumberjack is. Also, why do you think Orca Bay was called Orca Bay in the first place? Yes I know who Jon Festinger is. He is also a lawyer and was there during the Orca Bay days. He is no longer with the organization and as everyone on this forum is...entitled to their own option. He was obviously out voted during his tenure there (2005-2010) While unlikely, the colour scheme would fit the brand of the other Seattle franchises JC would outsell the orca since the orca would be discontinued -

This post is too intelligent for the CDC lol. Let's face it, no logo will ever unite everyone. There will always be those who like it and those that do not. The orca is here to stay. It has survived many COOs and Directors of Brand Management. This is also why we have not seen a green primary jersey. CSE have invested too much in the "Canucks Blue" brand. We may see a 3rd jersey feature the green, but I highly doubt it. My thought on this is they have already had discussions with the Seattle group and arrived at the settlement of them both being able to use a Blue/Green brand, but Vancouver keeping Blue as Primary, leaving Green for Seattle. The most I see them changing down the road to the jersey (and what leaks have shown): Removal of Vancouver Altering shoulder patch Changing font (which they already have done on most branding materials - transition from AgencyFB to the more stylized one. in 2011, this was a big no no) Striping -

If they were planning on having new home and away jerseys, I have a feeling they would have teased it already or we would have seen a leak of some sort given we are only 4 months away from September. Also with the draft a 2 months away, they would probably have wanted to show off the new digs there. Also, they probably want to wait to see what Seattle unveils before they make any changes. I think this report relates to the 50th patch and a new collar. -
2019 NHL Draft Lottery | April 9th, 5:00pm PT

It will definitely be interesting if we find out what went wrong with the "leak." The video snippet looks like it was a test run on production since they need the graphics and fonts ready beforehand. I would assume there are E&Y reps presiding over the entire process with those given info on a need to know basis. A very visual screw up but it is what it is -
I saw somewhere, the stat of TOI was used. Petterson: 1294:04 Binnington: 1876:25 Obviously Binnington is a goalie, but definitely an interesting stat to look at. Binnington also, while only playing 32 games, had more wins than: Howard Smith Varlamov Allen Luongo Lundqvist And 1-3 wins away from: Lehner Koskinen Gibson Rittich Kuemper Bishop Rask Markstrom I still think it will go to Petterson, but imo it is because of Binnington, that St Louis is in the playoffs...and almost won the division.
