  1. Losing Ferland (again) sucks! I'm hoping the silver lining is that it keeps Virtanen in the lineup. I want to see some more playoff Jake.

  3. Walk straight off the golf course into some playoff hockey? I've dreamt of this.
  4. That's tough, man. You can't want it or care about it more than that person, it will never work that way. She has to want it for herself..maybe makeup or the latest fashion doesn't interest her in the slightest and there is nothing you can do about that. It sounds like she is an awesome person, which sometimes is hard to find these days. Are YOU happy with who you are in the relationship? If you feel like you can't be YOU with somebody because you want something different from them, maybe you have to look at that?
  5. Gentleman, back on track. Far too many reports based around personal attacks. If somebody has a different opinion than you, that is ok, you do not have to engage them and bring someones profession into question, that has no bearing on the conversation at hand. Consider this a warning for all.
  6. Looking for Canucks Fans from the 1970s/80s to help me with a few names as I am making a top 10 Canucks enforcers/fighters. The basic requirement would be they were Canucks for at least 100 games (Season+). Only problem is, I don't know any of the older tough guys (I do have Jack McIlhargy) but basing it just off of career PIMs isn't ideal, wanting names for big, mean, and nasty enforcers/fighters.

@NewbieCanuckFan How would you have described Tanti as a player, then? Was he one of those guys like Brendan Morrison who had his best career years because of the line he played on? Or was he still really good at doing things to create space, did he hit? fast? BTW, this thread has been awesome. We need a Canucks Nostalgia Fire Side chat thread, I am a nostalgia nerd and constantly come across players I have questions about. Just the other day I read a cool story about how Troy Gamble was supposed to be the guy and it came down to Kirk McLean wanting it more and earning the spot whereas Troy sort of fizzled out, but was a huge prospect.

@diesel_3  Kind of like a Luc Robitaille (but with better skating ability).  Knew how to find the "right spots" and/or good anticipation.  All he needed was the 'right center' to feed him the puck (and that guy was Sundstrom).  Bear in mind, this is from the perspective of a non-teenager (*me* lol).:P

Yeah Troy Gamble was like a Eddie Lack - lots of potential.  But he just couldn't get over that final hump to the 'big leagues' like at least Eddie Lack did.  That's why goalie prospects are pretty risky.  Good thing the Canucks (unlike what Burke said "goalies graveyard') have been good at developing goalies for a while now (gives me hope for Demko being the future starter).

I hope Boeser (other than staying healthy heh) could find that sustained magic with EP (though in Boeser's defense, he seems to be able to score no matter who is center is - he just can't stay healthy).

Been hit and miss last couple weeks, found out on short notice my wife is deploying to Kuwait for 7 months, but i'll have plenty of time after that! Thanks to all who have joined the 649 regiment, apparently you can be in 10 regiments at one time and can just change your tag. Bought the full game and have been doing shoot the ship to improve my 1v1 battles. I've only played 150 WZ games but have 12 wins! Such a fun and intense game when it gets down to the final circle! I also suck at BR solos, always get killed by a guy just hiding in the room of a building hahaha.

We just use in-game. However, it is really buggy with the cross platform so some times when I join a party or after a few games my voice icon goes away disabling my voice. I just do a reboot and it works again.

    Sent to both!

    COD: Warzone

I don't actually have the full game, only warzone so I haven't played any multiplayer (except the weekend it was free, I played 1 round) and cannot wait until hardcore comes to warzone. Comms in game are what makes playing in groups fun. Working as a team is a lot of fun, even when going up against a squad full of twitch streamers who play 16 hours a day. My play times are sporadic, mostly early afternoon to supper time, then play at night 7pm+ for a couple of hours. @Violator Feel free to get your buddies involved if they are interested, quads is so much fun, huge gunfights when 2 or 3 squads roll up into the same area! I outted myself to my buddies that i'm an online message board user, they seemed to take it well lol. BTW: I sometimes have a couple drinks and 420 before/during/while i'm playing, so if for whatever reason you are worried about being baked while playing with strangers, don't be!

    COD: Warzone

Ok, Gents. I created a regiment called Canucks.com. Finding a username not already taken was a chore, I went with =649=, a play on the Lotto Line! (originally tried CDC, then WCE...) I already play with the same few buddies, but on other platforms (social media, clash royale, CDC, reddit, etc) I have stumbled upon small groups of people who have been playing, but are looking to play more or with more people! I want to do this so that there might be someone on most of the time to play with, i'm assuming duos will be out shortly, which is a really fun way to battle and get some wins! I do not want to discourage anybody from joining or make it strictly based on skill level, with enough people there should be plenty of players around everyone's skill level to squad up with. If you DO decide to join, please add some info to this thread so we know who is who! Gamertag/Activision ID: Warzone Gamer Level (New/Casual, Experienced/Casual, Experienced/Serious, etc): Preferred time to play: As people join, I can update the main post to categorize the different levels or experiences players are looking for. Seems like the regiment functions in Warzone are limited, I can assign officers and delete the regiment, doesn't seem to be any tiering or messaging system. If this does pick up some steam, I can also create a discord channel so that it is easier to see who is online or ready to play. Let me know if there is anything you guys think I should add/delete/scrap completely? I come from the CSGO community and just miss playing, i'm not awkward with strangers, it doesn't take long to get to know someone while playin a game, so don't be hesitant @gmen81 has met me, and he survived! Let's drop in on Quarry!!!!
  13. I am a student, my summer course is going to be delivered digitally and i'm also responding to fire calls, however, our call volume has went down drastically.
  14. Not sure exactly how much different it would have been, however, I would not change the fact they came into the league and were thrown on a 3rd line with Trent Klatt. I believe it helped them become solid, versatile, and stronger possession players. They spent their 1st few seasons getting their asses kicked in the corners, but they still kept coming. Maybe they come in now and their 2-way game isn't as polished? Who knows. I don't think anything infuriates me more (Canucks related) then when people refer to the Sedins as the sisters. A duo that fell under constant scrutiny for being soft....except they went to the tough areas against opponents #1 and #2 defenseman, regularly. Oh, and played over 1,300 NHL games (Is that good?).
