hmmmm, conspiracy?

Ok, I know it is never going to be perfect, but I think the league could do a better job of making sure the road trips make sense geographically and that they are followed by lengthy home stays. What is going to happen again is that the team will be traveling out east, we will come home for 1 game vs Pittsburgh, and then go on the road again. That home game is really just another road game for the players. The NHL needs to make sure our schedule is as easy as it can be to help even it up. Will that ever happen? I doubt it.

I don't doubt that, but we must compare like with like. Hockey players, as athletes and entertainers, are fairly paid for their services and, when compared to baseball and basketball, are probably underpaid.

But isn't that the point alain? These players are not average people. They are incredibly gifted, talented, and dedicated people. They deserve to be paid a premium because the work they do is the best in the world. Can we compare them to doctors and soldiers? well, we can, but we shouldnt. Hockey players are paid to entertain, and in the field of entertainment they are worth every cent that they earn.
