  1. Not sure what team I loathe more Edmonton or Calgary. Calgary is in town Friday night. they have struggled and I heard Craig Button critique Daryl Sutter, he's a hall of fame coach but has coached poorly this season. I also think he's a hall of shame coach in Calgary, they should have never brought him back, that's on the GM. Calgary = old and slow. Vancouver might be out of it but I expect the Canucks to rise to the occasion of spoilers tomorrow night. Calgary is a delusional sinking team similar to Winnipeg.
  2. Yes to all points. I'm not sure how much Markstrom has lost it but he doesn't have the Canucks goaltending coach to coach him out of his poor season. Calgary is an old team on auto destruct with an old school GM and coach in a league where teams are recognizing they need to get younger and faster. I was really surprised on how well they did last season. This season is what I expected last season but they surprised. This is more like it. Old and slow. I'm loven it.
  3. I was thinking at the rate Calgary is gong Vancouver may catch them in the points.
  4. I'm enjoying watching Calgary slip into the non playoff sunset, a team built on yesterdays men. That included Darryl Sutter. Why they hired him after he ruined their team once already as GM and coach was beyond me. We talk about Jim Benning's ineptness on this feed but wow has the Fames GM ever been a flop. Maybe even worse than Benning just a bit delayed when it comes to time frame. Here's a team that will really face some cap problems sooner than later.
  5. Your perspective is totally on point. How ever Antoski wasn't on the level playing level of Scott Parker but your point is bang on.
  6. You could learn a lesson in humility along with some level of intellect, we can't hope for any class though, that you don't hold. That's my belligerent opinion.
  7. Antoski's career as an NHL player never even reached mediocre levels. It amazes me that the return was Marcus Nasland. (I think that was the return). Anyway Antoski's career peaked in junior when he kicked Eric Lindros' ass. Cracked his helmet with one of the blows. Tough in junior and just another meh note when he made the NHL.
  8. Personally I'm pretty happy with all the moves over the last month plus, there's surely more to come. The one thing that's stands out is all the different media panic and hype that is simply hollow without much credence, just a lot of speculation. I know I'm hard on some of our fine members on this site because I can be a prick but this is what the site is for, speculation and interaction. Some very comprehensive thoughts go down here. However after watching and reading media posts over the past month and a half the medias roll pops back up. You've got your local and national TV networks with their so called experts giving their takes on thing. Many of those people have played high level sports and should be given some solid respect for their thoughts. Then you have our local 650am gang. Wow, have any of those guys played sports? The YouTube feeds are equally hilarious lacking little or no perspective. Seemingly the local media always gets a pass. They are for the most part wrong on all counts and yet they get to carry on. I think this is what has irritated more than anything the Canucks actually did. The media over blows so much. Bruce, his firing was the end of the world, he's forgotten. Just the trade of Luke Schenn, he's forgotten and so on. A lot of these pencil neck media types haven't nor could they make a beer league team in any sport. Where are their credentials, where did they come from?
  9. I can't agree more. A third on this is great. People need to get used to the fact although Schenn was good for the room and team he was just average on the ice, hits aside. I doubt they'll offer him a contract next season. Thank God this team isn't run on the sentiment of some on this feed. That same sentiment would still have us listening to Bruce after every game claimed he had "no idea why his team was so bad tonight." I really liked Bruce but i didn't watch the games to see Bruce. Business reality and sentiment don't mix. The only place they may work? NHL23 as you pointed out.
  10. Look at the posts above yours, there are many deluded fans just on this page alone. Beer just isn't strong enough for this one. They did well by a third.
  11. A foolish over value and observations on your part. I think they should have gotten 5 1st round draft choices. they did very well to get a 3rd for him.
