  1. Donald J. Trump, 45th US President of the United States

I totally recommend watching this video. It is literally propaganda. Made by the US War Department in 1947 called Don't Be a Sucker.

First they took down Stormfront. Then Russians. If they stopped there they could have claimed ignorance. But these Infowars/Brietbart/Fox/4chan/reddit alt-right idiots keep doubling down. It's not just insulting because they are racist, misogynistic and vile. They are insulting to all humans because they are so stupid. Like an idiot who sets something on fire then takes a selfie. Obvious abuses of Freedom of Speech should have harsher consequences.

You know one thing Obama could do that Trump can't? Be empathetic. Even if you believe Obama was faking it, Trump can't even fake it. Remember when he called that widow after her husband died and told her he knew what he was getting into? The man can not empathize. A quality absolutely necessary to lead people. And anyone who can't see that by now I'm afraid is probably lacking empathy as well and incapable of even faking it.

I'm starting to think not only in the US but also watching other countries that it's "Capitalism" that's facing it's inevitable demise. It seems obvious that modern capitalism is all about rewarding those who cheat without breaking rules by controlling those who make the rules. Repeat until inevitably one person has all the marbles. Truth is capitalism, a concept founded on the premise that anyone can succeed has been headed towards despotism, a concept where the power is concentrated into the hands of a few. The joke is convincing people they are a part of one but not the other. It's a pretty sick joke.

Watching John Oliver really cheered me up. And those kids in Florida. The ones speaking out. Hope.
  6. Fans direct racist taunts at Devante Smith-Pelly

Not in Asia. For some black kids, especially before the 90's, sports was one of the only ways to dream of a better life. Music being another. That's why African Americans have a higher ratio of athletes in American sports. So "basketball" is a pretty ignorant thing to say.

"Russia is laughing their asses off." How would you know? Have you talk to them recently? Or just reminiscing about good times?
  8. Dalhousie racially based hiring

Immigrant or not as a country we all need to treat the First Nations better. From them, we learned to treat our environment better. And we can learn much more like respect for elders or being victims of people with guns. For decades we've been calling them uncivilized. But in our modern world, reflecting on the past, it's the pilgrims who look primitive and the natives look like they're partying at Coachella.

A theory. Common sense, common decency, common knowledge all need to first establish what "common" means. Donald Trump is not common. He most likely believes he knows better. Therefore he probably thinks, "who needs common sense? I have the best sense, much better than common sense, believe me.". And some people believe him.

"I'm surprised there are any Russian cyber experts available based on how active most of them have been undermining our democracies in the West," H.R. McMaster today at the Munich Security Conference when asked if the US will work with Russia.

There's a difference between a conspiracy theory and targeted spoof articles designed to attack an election process. These were not conspiracy theories, they were the weaponizing of identity politics. Before the Trump era can you remember fighting, actually fighting among friends, family, significant others to the point they no longer speak to each other? About JFK or aliens or 9/11? Mostly we just laughed it off. Then again we never really know where most conspiracy theories originate. We should all be a bit more careful from now on.

Hell no. Rick Scott and Sessions failed the people they were elected to represent.

FLA Gov. Rick Scott and Jeff Sessions push for resignation of FBI director for not following up on the tip on the shooter. Of course. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/fbi-florida-massacre-warning-signs-1.4538502

Have you ever heard anyone suggest not investigating that? Think. Don't make up things and expect people to be fooled.
