  1. The best part of losing is that the goalie controversy is over (for now).
  2. The world of the NHL, apparently.
  3. Actually, it looks like Pedan had to clear waivers to be traded to Pittsburgh, no?
  4. Two hours earlier Vintage responded to CanuckinEdmonton that Pouliot required waivers. My comment was about whether he had to go through waivers from Pittsburgh; obviously, I now see he was referring to him requiring waivers if WE sent him down which we are not doing.
  5. Yes, I understand that, but I thought someone posted that he needed to clear waivers from Pittsburgh but that doesn’t make sense since the waiver deadline has passed.
  6. If he requires waivers and is picked up by another team I assume the trade is nullified?
  7. Not disputing Biega’s value, but we lost Sbisa (I know, I know but he did hit); we lost Tryamkin; and I don’t want to lose Pedan as well. We are too soft on the back-end.
  8. Will be p*ssed if he's claimed. We need his size; would have preferred to waive Biega.
  9. Yes, but maybe in Utica: http://www.vancourier.com/pass-it-to-bulis/camp-cuts-andrey-pedan-only-canuck-on-waivers-clarifying-canucks-roster-1.23053256
  10. That's true. The Canucks have shown they can draft poorly in the top ten.
  11. He's the only current Canuck I'm penciling into the top line within five years down the road. Not sure if Bo is a first or second-line center yet and I think we can do better than Baer for top line. Brock is the real deal.
  12. http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks-contract-bo-horvat-signed according to this article, the deal will be announced early next week to correspond with the Canucks new broadcast partner, Sportsnet 650.
  13. I agree. As pointed out elsewhere on the web, he would be the 7th highest scoring Toronto Maple Leaf last year. To be the highest scorer on a pathetic Canucks team doesn't justify top line dollars (e.g. 6 or 7 million per).
  14. http://www.vancourier.com/pass-it-to-bulis/jim-benning-and-the-canucks-can-t-shake-their-bad-reputation-1.21533165 Todays article from the Vancouver Courier on Benning's reputation as a rube around the NHL.
  15. I found it interesting that Baertchi is ranked third in the NHL from 2014-2017 for goals per 100 shots, after Laine and Tanguay. http://www.tsn.ca/who-is-the-nhl-s-best-shooting-talent-1.798054
