    Went to buy my brother & sister in law a GC for their favourite restaurant.  Bought other stuff too, but this is an every year thing.  $100.  When I went in to buy it, the woman who spoke little-no English said "NO".  Only $500 GC's (and promoted an extra $100 "free" = $600).  Uh, no...I don't want $600 worth of restaurant GC, thanks.  As I was leaving someone with more authority called me back and processed the $100 amount I'd wanted.  Nice try at the upsell though.

      Ok I'm glad I'm done Christmas Shopping. I thought being a Monday it would be more quiet.

      But it was nuts everywhere. Once I get groceries tomorrow. I'm hiding until I see my family at Christmas.

      All my family is on Vancouver Island (well immediate family) so living in Whistler I ordered their gifts in early November. Easiest Christmas shopping ever! 

      I don't know if I would have bought the GC from them after that Deb. I get it is their fave place but that would piss me right off.

      I used to suffer daily with heartburn until I started eating an apple a day and a teaspoon of yellow mustard at bedtime is the key to never having heartburn ever again!!

      My father used to mix baking soda and apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and drink it. He told me it worked like a charm and so I tried that and it works most of the time. Some days it works like a charm, other days it makes me want to go buy some Tums at 3am which I obviously can’t. Then by morn, the heartburn is gone and I convince myself I don’t need to go out and buy tums then it happens again :lol:

      Well change had to come. Its easier to change management and coaching than trading the whole team.

      Benning played his cards. He lost. I have a feeling he will be hired by another team sooner rather than later. He just might not get a GM gig again.

       

      Sad part of the business. But it happens.

      They still get paid so for that I’m happy for them that way. Tbh some people are crazy and it was best for them and their families to go when I think about it. I mean some of the events surrounding Bennings this last year, I didn’t like them

      Decided to test my calf/achillies by walking to Safeway. Far cry from Tuesday.

      4 KM and its a lot better. Still tender but no pain.

      I woke up late today and just got back from a walk.  There’s a park about a 10 minute walk from my place that has many trails. I like to go there.

    I propose that work places honour and respect hockey by shutting down for the season so employees can fully focus on what's important - hockey.  All game days are days off.  Vote for me.
