  1. 175 is probably a good weight for him, but the problem is that a person's weight will fluctuate by 5lbs, depending on hydration and food consumption.
  2. You gotta be kidding me... Gionta - 5'7 170lbs Martin St. Louis - 5'8 176lbs Mike Cammalleri is 5'9 185lbs. Schroeder is listed as 5'8 170lbs. He's arelady at a pretty good playing weight by comparison to the other guys.
  3. All the development camp photos I've seen involving the bench press have the stopper pads involved. I think it's because they want to target the triceps more without the wrist strain that comes from close grip bench press.
  4. Weight is inaccurate, but height generally is in the reported region. The problem with weight, and an article on CDC pointed it out when talking about a player (Raymond?) is that it can go +/- 5lbs depending on time of day and what has been done recently.
  5. To be fair, it was against Austria. If that had happened against Canada, Russia or the US, it would be even more impressive.
  6. Probably Prospects Camp and Training Camp. They don't have an excuse to skip Training Camp since they are under contract now.
  7. There's a chance that Rödin might be on a conditional loan, where he has to get x amount of minutes per game or he gets yanked from Brynäs. I doubt Gillis or the Canucks front office want him sitting around and riding the pine.
  8. Well...it's either people flaming on a player who enters a drought, or people have no comments since they didn't listen to or watch the game.
  9. Battle for GVR? That would be insane, but I doubt it would occur.
  10. Part of the reason why people were complaining about Ehrhoff last season was because the coaching staff was asking him to change his style of play, which led to Ehrhoff not looking as good. People couldn't deny the talent and the hockey sense was there, but at that point, many weren't happy considering how bad he looked.
  11. Considering Cormier hit someone else behind the play in the exhibition against Finland, I'm really starting to question him being named U20 captain.
  12. Can't NCAA players sign an ATO and still return to the NCAA?
  13. Schneider also left Boston College for the Moose. He ended up finishing his degree over the summer.
  14. Not an inference. A given fact since he wasn't drafted out of the CHL.
  15. Hard to say. If Schroeder wasn't available, there also is the chance that Moore could have dropped down to us. Erixon was picked at 27 too.
  16. The only way Rodin plays in the WHL is if the Canucks sign him and send him down. I believe he's already under contract with this SEL team.
  17. If we had bigger nets, we wouldn't have Luongo.
  18. At least you know he can beat the goalie. It would be much worse if every shot went into the netting/off the glass.
  19. I thought he took a plane? Hopefully both will come to rookie camp.
  20. I think I posted this last year in a thread about Patrick White. 1 - Trying out for the Canucks means he has to pay for housing wherever the Canucks are having training camp. He also has to pay out of his own pocket to get there, as well as food, equipment sharpening etc. The same applies to any player who is on a NCAA roster, or is going to join a NCAA team. 2 - Travel expenses if he get dressed for an pre-season exhibition match not in GM Place. 3 - U of Minny will have started school by then, and will be around midterms, and I think their hockey season will have started as well.
  21. Housing, food, travel expenses etc. In no way can the Canucks pay for anything he does. Not sure about the rules on staying at a friend's place.
