Time to trade some vets and garbage plugs get rid of sutter, granlund, gaunce, pouliot, biega, gagner, schaller, delzotto, retain half erikssons contract send him east. I cant believe we spend more money on our trash d corp than nashville thats mindblowing something benning should be fired for. Please let the regular season bump up tanev and edlers trade value they need to be gone at deadline. Literally petersson and gaudette cant do worse than these plugs

Do people really believe the Vancouver Canucks have a top 10 prospect pool in the NHL? 2017 draft looks like a homerun while 2016 other than Juolevi looks real bad.
This concerns me. 2014 bad draft 2015 good draft. 2016 bad draft. 2017 good draft. If the pattern continues the Canucks 2018 draft will be meh at best or at worst they will whiff.

@Dazzle Definitely frustrating to watch. Could be deja vu of last year when Niskanen got three games while Letang got one game for the exact same play.

IMO, if I'm Benning, I go all-in on Bouchard. 7th Overall + Tanev for 5th Overall + 2nd round pick. Arizona does that trade, no problem.

Sooner or later, a massive deluge of high quality draft picks must exact the desired effect. Each individual prospect we analyze, will surely be enhanced by the quality of fellow prospects they're developing alongside.

@Undrafted What do you think the Caps would offer in a potential Orpik cap dump? Beck Malenstyn was a player the Canucks were looking at and hoping to pick if he reached the Jakub Stukel pick. Not sure the Capitals would give up a guy like that.

@Undrafted Agreed on Wilson's value, but I think the Caps are missing that cheaper middle six forward since both Johansson and Williams left the team in the offseason. Bit of an overpayment for Lars Eller too I think. Perhaps if the Canucks take Orpik's salary for next year?

Can someone explain to me why Gudbranson being injured, and management knowing he was injured at the time, effects the value of signing him to a contract? Is the assumption that management is too stupid to make sure it’s not career altering? I can’t stand TSN.
