Playoff Lineup:
Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Raymond - Kesler - Samuelsson
Malhotra - Schaefer - Torres
Oreskovich - Morrison - Hansen
Hamhuis - Ehrhoff
Ballard - Bieksa
Edler - Salo
Luongo
Schneider
Notes:
Samuelsson and Torres could switch lines if needed
Morrison would get good powerplay time
On Line 1: Our same old defensively responsible 1st Sedin line with an amazing scoring punch.
On Line 2: Speedy up and coming players Ryan Kesler and Mason Raymond highlight a great line exclamated by snipers Mikael Samuelsson or Raffi Torres
On Line 3: Shutdown line. That can score.
On Line 4: Defensively responsible, a little scoring touch and a 4th line that won't cost us too many goals.
On Pairing 1: Defensively sound Hamhuis with Two Way D-Man Christian Ehrhoff. This pairing would also be great on the power play.
On Pairing 2: Hard hitting shot blocking Keith Ballard is paired with another hard hitting defenseman, Kevin Bieksa.
On Pairing 3: Our closers (to close out games). Possibly on of the best up and coming defensemen, Alex Edler is paired with a solid veteran, Sami Salo.
** Salo would be played less because of threat of injury and Bieksa would also be played less because he is not as consistent on D. The pairings would be shuffled and could then look like this if both are being rested
Hamhuis - Ballard
Ehrhoff - Edler
All 4 of these players are capable of 25 minutes a night (not saying they will get.)
Seeing the Moose led with top forward prospects Cody Hodgson, Jordan Schroeder, and Sergei Shirokov, they have a chance to win a Calder Cup, while giving our prospects the smooth transition to pro they deserve.
