  1. I'm not sure if you realize, but the coach doesn't make up the rooster... he sure picks how many minutes each player gets and which players go on ice from the rooster given, so most of your points above are false. Also this is the second coach (and the fill in coaches) to give Kass limited minutes... perhaps the coaches see something you don't..
  2. Mmm I expect another blowout which seems to be the trend nowadays... Sad, but this team needs serious help and I am not sure how much rock bottom were going to get before actually doing something.
  3. People are not mad at Lack.. give your head a big shake... Fans are mad at the management and how else do you want the "fans" to express the price they pay per ticket to see Lack in net? Torts managed to get this goalie controversy to a new low (Lack's 1st year in NHL)...has most fans pissed off and the team under his command has broken some of the worst streaks we have had in a very long time.... and on top of it all, you have a very pissed off all star goalie whos most likely done in this city (at least in his mind). Your arguement is not even worht a thread... is it neccesary?
  4. I resorted to posting until I had the opportunity of speaking with some my coleagues at work and unfortunately there is not a single person agreeing with Torts and everyone is now disliking Torts... Lack is a great guy and knows his role quite well... with that being said, hes a good goalie and with time, he will get even better, however the way Lu was treated is plain disguisting.... that is not a way to treat your all star starter goalie The result after Torts decision to play Lack for yesterdays game, 1.) a ton of pissed off fans who no longer give a crap, lets face it were out of the playoffs and we will stay that way 2.) pissed off main goalie 3.) distressed backup goalie for getting booed in front of all the fans who bought tickets to watch yesterdays game Even if Lack was light out and won the game for us, I still think the great majority of fans would be ticked off at the coach.
  5. Nice GDT Now, we've been tainted with wins over the Olympic break, so where do we go from here?
  6. Epic comeback and congrats ladies, I don't want to know how it feels for the US team that's gotta suck...
  7. We got 8 goals in past 7 games... at least most players on Boston's rooster can drive to the net and put one in... that goes the same for St Louis.. Now by your statement above "And St Louis is an extremely skilled player that was good even before Stamkos. Stop kidding yourself." it would either indicate the Sedins are not good players or they can't play witout eachother because they are not producing on a top line.... who's kidding who here? Wake up and smell the bull****... we got shut down in 7 games by a a goon team with the help of zebras followed by two exits during the last two playoffis, one in 5 games and sweep last year due to the same issue which has been haunting us for years, lack of scoring and we got the so called "skilled players" ...
  8. Lets make this a little bold, so I will ask, do you see any Canucks players in the top 30 for points? Answer is nope... How about top 30 for goals scored? Answer is nope... I see Martin St. Louis 5'8" with 25 goals scored at 38 years old and not playing with Stamkos... I for one am very tired of all the excuses from this team... just get it done and win some games against some meaningful teams.
  9. We broke so many bad records this season, whats another? But hmmm don't worry guys, were playing the Flames in the first round of the playoffs followed by the Oilers and it honestly doesn't matter who we play in the third round because the team overachieved anyhow.... In all honestly I didnt think we would lose to the Preds... lack of PP production is etrocious regardless of "how good" they look and lack of offence is also disguisting... these are things which haven't been addressed since the Boston series and it doesn't look like they will be fixed anytime soon; it feels we will see more sour times before we see anything sweet out of this team, but hope I'm wrong. 2 goals in 30 power plays is ugh... and we scored less goals(8) in 7 games than all the goals scored on us by the Ducks in one game... this team doesn't stand a chance vs any half decent team and dont believe we have any chances against Cup contender power house teams.
  10. Yay, I am not even mad... Was expecting to lose (not this score though) but it just proves that we can not compete vs Californian teams and most cup contende teams... It is what it is and it hurts but it's the truth... I was looking at leaders and we don't have a single player leading in points of any kind... I say we give more NTC's out..
  11. While a message was needed, they need to put the puck in the net regardless of the situation and thats not happening.
  12. A ton of positives out of this game, however it doesnt change the fact that any potential play off team gives us quite a bit of trouble.... Sure retaliation is awesome but so does punishing through scoring which sadlly is all over the place. Unfortunately these are the teams which will make it to the playoffs and we have a pretty craptastic record taking any of them in a seven game series... In all honestly do you see the Canucks sustaining this level of play without a.) injuries b.) the shanban Lets face it, we have our hands full with any most conference rivals besides bottom feeders and the only way to surpass this is by scoring consistently. The only consistent part of this team is their inconsistency if that even make sense. Opposing teams have scored more goals 6vs5 than we scored empty netters this season... this to me is scarry. I really want see more from this team than retaliation to some pretty classless cowards and NHL needs to be more involved to make the right calls instead of letting players retaliate and take care of bussiness... Nobody wants to see players sidelined with concussions and injuries due to NHL stupidity, but it keeps happening reagrdell on how much NHL wants to crack down on concussion related injuries... Recipe is simple; start from the refs and the players will quickly follow the regime.
  13. It seems every team can pull the goalie and tie then win the game in OT regardless if they are down by 2 and just got scored 4 unanswered goals.... extremely sad regardless how craptastic the referring is.... Honestly I didn't expect this when we were up by two with 90sec left... Top line for the Penguins can score two goals within a span of 16 sec under pressure vs our top line which often does not make it on the score board... Good teams find ways to win... I cant remember the last time we stole a game by pulling the goalie and winning in OT/SO.
  14. I've said before and I'll say it again, the Canucks are not a threat to any team... good teams find ways to win regardless of what hole they happen to be in. Ducks were outshot and down by two after first period but came out with a bang and played their guts out till the bitter second, never took the foot off the gas pedal... let this be a lesson for the team and management(hopefully); this is a pure example on how teams with a drive play when down by two and outshot 12-5 in the fist 20min of play... thats why they are undefeated in their arena and are leading NHL. Second period Canucks are outshot 10:1... thats 10 times more shots and third we were outshot 4:1... disguisting I constantly feel bad for the goalies as they seem to keep us in the game for most part (Lack got us the one point last night) and to be honest its hard to watch these teams come out to play and give it 150%... even with 5 sec left in a period, they still seem to give it all they got.. we are way too casual, soft and need some drastic changes. I didn't expect a win out of this considering the Ducks havent been defeated in their own arena this season and based on the previous game in LA and the previous two losses to TB and Flyers... I'm happy with a point from the best NHL team in their arena and after playing a tough opponent the night before, but at least go out with a statement We can not hang onto leads no matter what... I'm ok with losing consistently knowing they lost to a better team but at least go down with a battle, dont shrivel up and go down like a p***y... I hope this game is a eye opener for management and hope some changes/trades will be made because I feel the return of our injured is not enough... Lets face it Sedins are not what they used to be and seem to fade in the playoffs... I don't think Burrows can spark something upon his return as hes been having a ton of bad luck with injuries and lack of points. Edler is very shakey and makes costly mistakes on regular basis... The team might be a little more confident upon his return, but I really dont think so. Also I am bothered on how much our goalies keep getting ran down and nothing gets done.
