I've got a couple of ideas

maybe you could make a list of cdc gm’s opinions of how to run the canucks and present JB and green with the list, so then can run the team perfectly. cdc and FA would love you and pay you handsomely. 

Kovalchuk could bail and his cap hit would stay on the books - it's an age 35 contract.  He also only plays offence and Green demands a 200ft game.  

I'd rather gamble on Lucic, and least when he's motivated he can play a physical game. 

Great idea! Even if Kovy isn't an upgrade on the ice, at least his contract ends when it needs to (when Pettersson & Hughes need extensions).

I don't know if Kovalchuk would go for it though. I think part of the draw was living in LA.

Hey that's like my life.  People like to talk to me and ask me for directions.  I must have the look like I know where I am going, or the look like, hey come and talk to me.  I am reserved, and don't talk a lot, and I don't know where I am going half the time.  I have been asked for directions in Quebec City, Montreal, Vancouver, Victoria, Paris, and Seattle.  Which was funny in Paris, they spoke broken French to me with their English to French dictionary.

It would be pretty nice to see this trio in Utica next year. Madden and Pod anyways. Don't really have any worries about Hoglander developing in the SHL, but the way Podkolzin is being deployed in Russia is maddening and I think after this year Madden will have learned all he can in college hockey. 

Yeah- I definitely expect Madden to turn pro after this season, possibly getting into a few Utica contests before the Cometès season ends this year, depending on if things line up. Itès in his professional interests to do it, and Ièm sure heès aware.

With Podkolzin- I really hope theres something the Canucks group can do to better his situation but dont know enough about NHL-KHL relations to have any idea what they might be able to conjure. It feels like were stuck with the status quo here and have to cross fingers that he arrives in NA in decent enough condition whenever it happens.

I'd take Zegras, Turcotte, possibly Krebs and especially Dach over Caufield. I don't think any of them will be there at 10th, though.

Boldy is a contender, but his skating is atrocious, which is a huge turn off. I guess the question for me is how much he can improve it over the next few years of his development and whether he's close to hitting his best possible ability. I don't know how to evaluate this and won't pretend to, but if Judd's team doesn't think he has good skating potential, I'd hope that they pass on him.

Kaliyev's also an interesting one. I've only watched a bit of him and never really noticed him, but he kept scoring, which is apparently the running joke about him among scouts.

I noticed him too. That's a lot of points to put up on a below average team.

CFL should be banned.  Time to put that league to bed, adopt NFL/NCAA rules, keep the name and become a feeder league for the NFL.

I enjoy watching top level soccer, like the World Cup has.  I'm not a big fan of watching our domestic league, especially the White Caps home games - on turf.  The local league is bad as it is to watch, but when those guys (who have limited skills to begin with) play on turf, it's not watchable.

Soccer is meant to be played on a natural grass field.  

World Cup, Euro Cup, Top Euro League games, those a fun to watch. 

Oh no, we still have "poker" to watch.

personally i like louie. his scoring dried up but he plays a strong defensive game. he didn’t swindel anybody. he scored 30 goals in boston, picking up garbage goals. benning knows that, it was a bad contract but moving him will be tough. benning gets the fault on this one, not louie. louie would have to be moved to a team that has to reach the cap floor and he’ld have to approve the move. 

i think he is here for one more year and then flipped to seattle. maybe he will retire.
