  1. @Sharpshooter Good series man. Some of your players had some great performances.

If Colorado could have pulled off that game seven win I would have been feeling a lot more optimistic about my chances in round two.

    Washington Capitals Round 2 Lineup:

Carter Verhaeghe - William Nylander - Stefan Noesen

Miles Wood - Luke Glendening - Noel Acciari

    Pontus Holmberg - Curtis Lazar

    Ryan Suter - Justin Holl

    Ryan Shea - Radko Gudas

@da.moose is it your year?  I thought so even recently...

I don't think that at this point on paper our team is as strong as @Mike Vanderhoek Devils.

@Sharpshooter has some serious talent as well and could definitely beat me.

But the CDCGML playoffs can be weird sometimes.

It's not only about which teams advance but also how long a particular series goes.

It's just fun to be in it while it lasts.

  3. The Washington Capitals would like to start by thanking @canuck2xtreme not only for his work during the deadline but for staying on top of updates consistently all season.

I would also like to thank all the General Managers whom actively participated in the Trade Deadline. Even taking our two vacant organizations into consideration, I don't remember having such league wide activity.

All you new GMs did amazing.

With all that being said, the Caps are very excited for the playoffs.

Our biggest move this year happened a couple months ago when we acquired Andrei Vasilevskiy.

We wanted to keep our core intact this deadline but did make a few moves to reshuffle our bottom six.

We added Noel Acciari, Logan O'Connor, Miles Wood, and Curtis Lazar

We would like to thank the pieces going out for being amazing teammates in our organization. They will be missed and we wish them the best in their new opportunities.

In:  Noel Acciari,  Logan O'Connor,  Miles Wood,  Curtis Lazar

Out:  Nic Dowd,  Ryan Lomberg,  Parker Kelly,  Tanner Laczynski,  Garrett Pilon,  3rd,  3rd,  4th,  4th

Obviously the ultimate goal is to win the CDCGML Cup and anything short of that is a failure for us at this point.

We realize our odds aren't great this season but if things go right we do believe we have a path.

It feels good to have an exciting team to watch that stands a chance once again this year.

    Washington Capitals Lineup:

Carter Verhaeghe   -  Mark Scheifele          -  William Nylander

Alex Killorn           - Evgeny Kuznetsov     -  Patrik Laine

Pierre Engvall        - Frederick Gaudreau    -  Logan O'Connor

Miles Wood            - Noel Acciari               -  Corey Perry

    Stefan Noesen

    Devon Toews       -      Brian Dumoulin

    Brenden Dillon    -      John Klingberg

    Ryan Suter           -      Justin Holl

    Zach Bogosian     -     Radko Gudas

Waivers: The Washington Capitals place Chad Ruhwedel on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the AHL.

We would like to thank Andrew Copp for his time and contribution to the Capitals organization. Originally one of our draft picks, Copp excelled and became the epitome of what we build our organization around. We wish him the best in Detroit.

We would also like to thank Chad Ruhwedel for his time and services in Washington. He did a great job while he was here and we wish him the best moving forward.

The Caps might not have the most talented defence group in the league but we know feel that we have a very reliable, veteran eight man group.

Brenden Dillon and Ryan Suter give us two more players with a ton of experience in the playoffs.

We are excited to welcome them to Washington in another pursuit for the coveted CDCGML cup.

Theres no gray area it has been this way for what? 14 years.

We have no recall Waivers. You sound a little guilty though ....

Teams are monitored to ensure there are no glaring roster issues or players being buried in minors, several clubs have been notified this season already of any potential issues. So far everyone has played nicey nice.

I'm not disputing that it is a rule. That was made clear to me.

I'm just personally an advocate for changing the rule to align with NHL rules for next season.

If I'm in the minority I'll take my player and shut my mouth - but I want to know if anyone agrees with me or if this rule is even clear to the rest of the league.

Apparently the rule in our league is that you can sign NHL players and they go directly to your AHL system without requiring waivers.

I have disputed that I don't like this rule and would love to hear the opinion of the rest of the league.

With that being said - Glendening will begin with my AHL club. @canuck2xtreme
