  1. Huttons value is really hard to gauge cause he’s 25, has the size and skating ability to be a good puck mover but he hasn’t put it all together and I’m not sure he ever will youd hate to give up on him but at the same time he’s hard to place him in your line up and what role he has
  2. Brock Boeser | #6 | RW

Comparison can be drawn to tarasenko(7.5m), pastrnak (6.67m) and gaudreau (6.75m) if you factor in small sample size of production and importance to the team before cashing in draisaitl at 8.5m kinda messes everything up though But regardless between 6.8m-7.5m on a 8 year deal. Book it. Don’t care about the $$ just get it done. Sending out a couple feelers is good business for both sides BUT I’d like to see him prove he can do it again before backing up the dump truck full of money onto his driveway. Wait till next summer, no point in rushing it....unless you can get him under 6.5m then all bets are off
  3. Canuck PTO's this year ?

I don’t really see a point in a pto at this point were already bursting at the seams with competition at forward so why bother? id rather see younger players play more pre season games and get an extra look than a Veteran PTO and no pto is gonna help our D, they don’t have a contract for a reason
  4. The only way the Canucks make the playoffs is if everything and I mean EVERYTHING goes their way then maybe just maaaaaybbbeeee they’ll have the slightest of chances at the 8th seed boeser would have to score 40 goals virtanen would need to pot 20 goals pettersson get over 50 points tanev play 70+ games markstrom have a .925 save % at least and a bunch of career years from everyone else who plays a regular shift Nashville winnipeg sj minny St.louis vegas calgary anaheim no particular order but I’d say have good chance at making the playoffs chicago edmonton la arizona Colorado dallas Bubble teams Van and then theirs us
  5. [Report] Zetterburg's out for year with back issues?

Wasn’t it last year he said he was retiring in 2019 cause that was the plan all along when he signed his long term contract? He’s just calling it a career early cause why keep playing? Detroit is gonna suck and he has his cups and money
  6. It’s obviously crazy early in the year but I’m bored so just go with it to cgy: nilsson to van: 5th round pick 2019 cgy gets a rental back up and canucks acquire a pick! To edm: granlund to van: 4th round pick 2019, 7th round pick 2019 edm acquires some speed and depth while canucks acquire more picks! To chi: del zotto to van: 4th round pick 2019 Chi has been linked to del zotto before and they could use the veteran depth of they wanna snag a wild card spot and the canucks acquire another pick! To phi: goldobin to van: morin this deal could go down at any time. Mornin did suffer a knee injury is out for A few months I believe but he’s big, young and has some game and it just feels like goldobin is kind of the odd man out To sj: gagner, hutton to van: Dillon, 5th round pick 2019 sj acquires a depth centre and younger left side dman as a sweetener to take on gagner contract and canucks acquire a new west native 2nd/3rd pairing dman and another pick! to wpg: edler to van: 1st round pick 2019, 4th round pick 2019 i think elder would waive to go to wpg because he played for the moose once upon a time so there is some familiarity there and canucks acquire more picks Post deadline: Baertschi-horvat-boeser eriksson-sutter-pettersson leipsic-gaudette-virtanen roussel-beagle-shaller gaunce dillon-tanev Juolevi-gudbranson morin-stecher pouliot-biega markstrom demko canucks have... 2 first rounders 2nd rounder 3rd rounder 4 4th round picks 3 5th round picks 2 6th round picks 2 7th round picks for the upcoming draft being held at Rogers arena...where they’ll draft Hughes
  7. [Signing] Red Wings re-sign Dylan Larkin

Gotta think nyquist is on his way out detroit actually has no money to spend once they put franzen on LTIR they’ll have like $20 in cap space
  8. Ya it just feels like we’re missing one more young stud before we can trending upwards ideally a centre or dman
  9. I share the same thoughts I have gaudette pegged as the number 1 centre in Utica to start the year which would be fantastic for his development There will be injuries so he’ll get his due eventually same with dahlen, leipsic, gaunce etc. Juolevi is gonna have roughly a month between being medically cleared for full contact hockey and training camp so I imagine he’ll have a rough training camp and start in Utica. No fault of his just the way I’m expecting it to go
  10. TDL 2019 tradeable candiates (that I want dealt): Gagner edler Del Zotto granlund hutton nilsson we don’t have an abundance of scoring to trade a 35 point player in baertschi...yes, I know how sad that is
  11. Quinn Hughes announces his return to Michigan

its the right move like why does he need to play in the show right away? let him progress at a normal pace buuuuttt yeesh our blueline is vanilla edler-gudbranson del zotto-stecher hutton-tanev pouliot-biega joulevi* he'll probably start in the AHL because his off season training was cut in half due to his back surgery edler and del zotto both have expiring contracts at seasons end so there will be some interest from other teams for rentals.
  12. [Signing] Capitals re-sign Tom Wilson

    My goodness who approved this?!
  13. [Discussion] New Canucks President

Yes, president of all hockey operations.... which means he has a say in EVERYTHING
  14. [Discussion] New Canucks President

the one knock on Lombardi is he shelled out a lot of money to players of recent performances
  15. Trevor Linden stepping down as President - Confirmed

It’s defiently related linden quits as soon as the last piece of business is done in regards to Virtanen re signing he was planning on quiting for awhile, but he waited for the draft, free agency and all players were resigned so he wouldn’t let his co workers hanging dry
  16. Trevor Linden stepping down as President - Confirmed
  17. Trevor Linden stepping down as President - Confirmed

there was rumblings about this during the season and now its true real interesting timing but enough was enough he looks real tired these days
  18. [Signing] Predators sign Dan Hamhuis

Surprised he got 2 years but glad to see him keep his career going
  19. [Proposal] Trouba for Tanev

I think if jets were gonna trade trouba at all they woulda done it 2 years ago buuuuuuuuttttt where’s the fun in that?! Well whats wpg gonna want? A roster player for a roster player type deal and maybe shed some cap To wpg: tanev, goldobin, hutton to van: trouba, Perrault
  20. [Discussion] Bring Hamhuis back?

On a 1 year/3m contract who would you rather have Del Zotto or hamhuis? Hammer was one of my fav dman for years and at his best he was one of the best shutdown dman in the league, but there isn’t a fit on the team for him unless they move out some bodies.
  21. We are one Horvat or boeser injury away from being in serious trouble their would need to be a few unexpected incredible performances for the canucks to even be in the wild card race
  22. 2018-2019 - Line-Up - Trades to come ?

I see goldy as the odd man out because he has to play top 6 minutes and requires waivers to be sent down. Baer-Horvat-boeser erikssson-sutter-pettersson gotta think eriksson by default has to start in the top 6 in hopes he can be a 15 goal guy...HA! 15 goals from him, that’s rich. All indications point to the canucks fully expecting pettersson to be a regular so he’s in the top 6 I can see them adding goldy to a hutton/tanev and add a quality piece over the quantity of middle ground players we possess
  23. To ott: Johnson, Foote, gourde, dotchin, 1st round pick 2020 to Tb: karlsson still doesn’t seem like enough unless they give up someone they don’t want to like point or sergechev
  24. A defense of FA signings/Benning by a Benning hater

I don’t see how so many people are bent outta shape over these signings we wanted some gumption in the line up, benning acquired upset...? ya he spent a pretty penny on it but if you’re can’t offer these players a chance to win then you gotta show them the next best incising draw, money! Baertschi-Horvat-boeser eriksson-gagner-pettersson roussel-sutter-virtanen Schaller-beagle-granlund Some of those players shouldn’t be too hard for the likes of goldobin, dahlen, leipsic etc. to push out That’s bennings game plan here give the young players a little bit of competition to push them to their best versions of themselves
  25. [Roster]Opening day forward line up

Baertschi-Horvat-boeser Pettersson-sutter-gagner Eriksson-beagle-virtanen Roussel-Schaller-granlund Goldobin edler-gudbranson del zotto-stecher hutton-tanev pouliot-Biega You can mix and match the bottom 6 all you want it’s still the same final product...grit and size Let gaudette, dahlen, juolevi etc. rip it up in the AHL gaunce is waiver bound Only bo and Brock have top 6 roles sewn up so there’s lots of openings for offensive roles
