  1. I do understand that the Canucks need to make some moves at the deadline but why does everyone want hammer gone? We are already so weak on D as it is. People seem to forget that he made team canada 2 years ago. He's a very reliable top 4 guy and still has years of hockey left. I'm sure he would like to stay in BC being from Smithers. That's why we signed him in the first place.
  2. People keep talking about Madison Bowey but the Caps are too close to the cap to be trading for Vrbata or Hammer

  4. There is no chance that Stamkos comes out to Vancouver so you can count him out.
  5. I found a value of Shea Theodore (and Madison Bowey) thread but it's a year old. I'm curious to what everyone thinks his value is and what Anaheim would demand in a trade for him. Thoughts?
  6. what does everyone think our starting lineup will look like and what our player overalls will be? Daniel (88) - Henrik (88) - Burrows (84) Baertschi (82) - Horvat (83) - Vrbata (86) Higgins (83) - Sutter (85) - Hansen (83) Prust (82) - Linden Vey (79) - Dorsett (82) Edler (86) - Tanev (84) Hammer (87) - Weber (81) Sbisa (83) - Corrado (81) Miller (88) Markstrom (82) Virtanen (78), Kenins (81), Bartowski (79)
  7. I completely agree with you man. This guy saying he's a 3/4c is a tard. Name one 4c who has 21 goals. I'd say it's pretty damn tough to notch that many goals behind Crosby and malkin who are arguably the two best centres in the game. Also not to mention he was playing on a team that puts 35-40 percent of they're salary in 4 players. 21 goals on a weak 3rd line is impressive.

  9. 3RD OR 4TH LINE CENTER!? Name one fourth line Center in the history of hockey that has put up 21 goals in a season! Get your head out of your arse and take a better look at this signing. People REALLY gotta stop with this while 2c, 3c, 4c BS. Benning & Desjardins roll (3) second/3rd lines under the twins. This is a great signing. You'll see. You will all see. Bonino was a buttplug. Slow and streaky. Hank, Bo and Sutter bring 2 way game and that's what the Canucks need in this transition to fight with this deep west conference. Give your head a shake and actually think about it.
  10. All you Canucks fans seem to forget that Desjardins rolled 4 lines all year last year. The Sedins getting the most minutes followed by all three other lines getting similar ice time. I don't expect that to change next year. So what's the difference of who gets "second line or third line" duties. It'll only matter who plays with who.
  11. Now that he's locked in. What number will he wear with Linden's 16 retired?
  12. Good signing! Way to go benning. Canucks two way game down the middle is looking strong. I'm behind this deal.
  13. Penguins refused to pull the trigger on this trade if Clendening wasn't involved. Corrado will slot in just fine.
  14. As all of us Canucks fans wait for the upcoming season to get underway I thought it would be fun to create a predictions page. Who will be... Canucks point leader? Canucks top goal scorer? Canucks best defenseman? Canucks most valuable player? Canucks biggest disappointment? Canucks most surprising player? Canucks best shootout performer? Point Leader: It's a no brainer to pick one of the twins. It's just a matter of which one. I'll say the twins tie for the team lead with a total of 76 points each. Top Goal Scorer: Vrbata will probably get less total ice time with the Sedins this year but I don't think that will stop him from being the team leader in goals. I say he finishes with 27 on the year with Daniel close behind him. Best Defender: With how well Edler and Tanev did together last year as the teams top pairing I can see Edler being the solid choice. Hamhuis could contend but he doesn't have a solidified line mate beside him with the loss of Bieksa. I take Edler. MVP: Ryan Miller will silence the haters and show why he is still in Vancouver and Eddie Lack is not. This proven goaltender will help the Canucks steal some wins and fight for a playoff spot all while being the team MVP. Biggest Disappointment: I think this one has to go to a prospect that doesn't work out and that players name is Linden Vey. I don't think he has what it takes to be a full time NHLer. Biggest surprise: If Horvat can land the second line center role with some talented wingers like Vrbata to play with I bet he stands out this year. I'd think Baertschi might be worth honourable mention. Best Shootout: Radim Vrbata. Clutch. These are my predictions for next season! What is your prediction!?
  15. I think Burrows or Hamhuis is basically what it comes down to. Unless they do home and away.
