CBC will act like they wont jump on a team when they are down and follow that by doing a long attack through the Moore incident. They will connect that to Kassian and the last time we played Calgary. The whole pregame panel will dogpile on. Intermission will be Maclean talking out the side of his mouth and salivating at our fortunes. If this game gets out of hand score wise or fight wise CBC will go right into character assassination. Tempted not to watch but like a well trained sheep I will watch.

Simmonds has a limited NTC and Philly would be crazy to lose him.

Looking at the schedule I do not see anything being done till Wed. Due to the Tues game being a good shake out gauge for rebuild or go for it this year. So what are the thoughts on the Pen deal being leaked? I am a bit worried because of the Nonis/Dredger garbage that went down last year with the LU trade. Its that and Gillis is being played again or its a sign that we are trying to drive the cost up,hopefully the latter.

When you mentioned prospects and the amount of 2-3 players in the deal I was thinking farther along the line in development or younger. I like all the names you mention but Schenn wouldnt be considered a prospect at this point. What I thought you meant was 2-3 players that where more iffy. Columbus is really interesting based on what we could get in a package,I agree Jenner should be involved if we go the multiple route rather than shooting for the moon in Johansen.

Just meaning that I rather see us go after a decent player than hope for 2 out of 3 prospects to turn out. We are talking about Gillis and that worries me more than if it was another GM with some intelligence in the trade arena.

Two ways of thinking and I would rather not go that route with our history as a organization.

Its the plus that I cant figure out if this deal was to happen around Edler/Franzen. Dekeyser and Tatar are RFA and Dekeyser hails from the D. For some reason I feel like we are targeting Abdelkader and the first. Edler = Abdelkader,Franzen and 1st(maybe 2nd) That would be my guess

The Team are super annoying to listen to. Not only do they manipulate conversations,they in turn talk over anyone that calls in with a opposing view. But then again some idiots call in every day and wait on hold to be made fun of.

If we make a re-tool why are the Sedins not involved? They are being paid top line money and already we see a transition for them to play the 2nd line. So we over pay to bring in players that may or may not play with Kesler and deplete our D or key role playing players in the process. Gillis will sit on his hands till the end of the year when the value of our players is hopefully better. We are still in the hunt,so why not see it through.
