Only issues deterring this league at the moment are because of 1. retention and 2. conditionals. Solution(s): 1a. Grandfather in, after the Zaitsev trade, that you can't retain on any deal past one year remaining. Reinforce this like it was in previous versions of RGMG. 1b. If not, set a limit as to how much a team can retain per season (12M total, for example). This hopefully factors in the decision-making to retain on multi-year deals. -- 2a. If GM 1 trades a conditional pick, move over both the current pick and conditional pick (what it becomes in the scenario that conditions are met) to GM 2's roster so that GM 1 doesn't accidentally (or knowingly, if they're scummy) trade the conditional pick. 2b. Remove conditionals altogether and simply trade confirmed assets.

Well, I'm sure the issues are way more convoluted the being described but off top of my head, that trade should be vetoed anyway because as far I remember, you can't even retain on multi-year deals.

@SliteriousBlackbeard I think most people will come to understand the deal or can rationalize some parts of it but that's still a HUGE assumption to assume next's year draft will contain much "lower-rated" prospects in the first round that won't be as good in comparison to the "higher-rated" prospects in the second round this year. I think that's why you made the deal?? It probably doesn't help that, even if you needed to rebuild, you've scorched the earth of any decent players to build around and nobody really knows what your plan is with just a bunch of picks, scattered around various years. I have no idea what your vetoed trade was but I have to imagine it made even less sense than the two firsts for two seconds.

@morrissex95 looking to ice two NHL teams?
  5. [SIM] RGMG 5.0

AV forever growing RGMG. Gave careers to @Mr. Quacks (please come back) and @Sane33. Gave @Tanev a lifeline back into the league in 3.0. Gave @Carlutch98 a chance (even if he didn't take it) Always on the lookout for new talent.

<--- Need a new profile pic. Not often that a manager's work, philosophy, history, and diversity of players he's worked with turn you into the direction of supporting a team like Arsene did for somebody like me. I've not been #WengerOut per se, but I felt there was a few times over the last few season where the time to move on was very apparent (FA Cup in 2014 and again in 2017). Now that it's actually happening, you can't help but feel like you want one more year to well and truly appreciate them for their accomplishments. But its for the best in the end and I'm quite happy he came out with this information. If the players weren't already inspired to win Europa, they will be now and the general fan unrest should temporarily cease. Interesting to see who succeeds Wenger. Mislintat wants Nagelsmann/Tedesco/Hasenhuttl Sanllehi wants Enrique Gazidis wants Rodgers/Jardim/Loew/Arteta Then, there are names perpetually linked to us like Ancelotti, Allegri, and Howe. And, of course you have the former players crowd of Adams, Henry, Vieira, and the aforementioned Arteta that are always linked, too. My ideal scenario is that Abramovic does his thing and Conte moves on from Chelsea. He could easily work out a significant portion of the defensive issues and he would have more offensive options at his disposal. There's always potential for conflict with the board when Conte is manager but the board, in recent times, seem more willing than ever to spend and make big deals to grow the club.

BREAKING: The Buffalo Sabres have announced that they will observe a minute of silence before their next game to commemorate the recent breakup of John Cena and Nikki Bella.

Blues send a diet Pepsi to the Islanders for his rights.
  9. [Proposal] Help St.Louis

Seems like a good idea in theory. I like Pouliot and would prefer to keep him but moving him isn't the end of the world. He's probably replaceable but I'd see if we could move Hutton instead. I'm still not sure what Gaunce even brings to the team, unfortunately, so I'm okay with him going as well. Both Gunnarsson and Sobotka could garner mid-picks at the deadline, if not more, if they have decent seasons. Walman and the other two picks are decent value but perhaps we'd only get a combination of those assets.

Heartbroken at these 'results'. How could my commissioner team let me down like this?
  11. The Official European Football (Soccer) Thread

Quite the feat from Roma to turn the tie around against Barcelona. Those who know a little about Italian football have known that Di Francesco has been a great manager for a bit of time so a result like this should hopefully bring more recognition to the work he's done.
