  1. Which is going to come first?

    1) The Canucks making the playoffs

    or

    2) CDC finally closing down

  2. Farewell everybody

Could contain: File, Person, Face, Head, Text, Webpage

I've been chuckling at the leaderboard on the main page for a few days now

  5. Did anybody remember to let Saniel Dedin out of the basement before they lock everything up on us?

  6. Re-sign Tyler Myers 2x2.25M

There could be cheaper options, certainly, and he does get penalized due to "man too big" unfortunately

We'll see, wouldn't be upset if he came back

Trolling? Nah. Tongue in cheek? A bit..

Myers at closer to 2M is a lot better than Myers at 6M, his play would be closer to his cap hit. Myers does do some good things, he skates well, he brings a size and pushback element, and the puck isn't a grenade on his stick. He's also a known quantity. I would be open to bringing him back for 1-2 years at a lower cost.

      Plus, it'd be funny.

  8. If greed wins the day and the NHL expands to 36 teams. That might be it for me. I see nothing but disaster with that. Short term gain for long term headaches. And Vancouver will never win a cup.

4 teams with the generous expansion rules? It will destroy existing teams rosters.

It's only a matter of time imo, there's more money in expansion than relocation, might not get to 36 but 34 wouldn't surprise me

Arizona is a no brainer to relocate, after that it's a bit trickier, one could point to Columbus or Florida but one could also point at their historical lack of competitive success

Florida's been better of late, a competitive product helps, how long they stay competitive is anyone's guess though

Columbus seems like they should be an up and comer but they need to actually do it

Nah, I'm moving up to Dawson Creek for hopefully four years, housing is cheaper up there and it'll help me save up after I've graduated

Plan is two more years for my BSW, work a couple years doing social work, and then look to come back with my savings built back up and some experience

Not that there's any shortage of work for social workers nowadays

It's part of why I'll keep my doctor, I ain't getting stuck in Dawson

In B.C., almost a million residents have no family doctor. I'm moving from Nanaimo to Dawson next week and I'm not saying a peep to mine, I'll do phone appointments or drive down if I need to. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/angus-reid-institute-doctor-access-bc-1.6575386

  14. After the OEL buyout I want management to go really hard after Brett Pesce and Ryan Graves.

    1. Coconuts

      Coconuts

I'd rather look to take advantage of a team needing to move cap, Carolina wants to keep Pesce anyway. At least all Graves would cost is money.

  16. Gary Bettman is the worst thing to ever happen to hockey and any self respecting hockey fan should be sick to their stomach seeing Vegas win already.

  17. Vegas has no future, they'll win the cup tonight and then won't be heard from for 7 or 8 years, old team, capped out, as a Canucks fan Im excited about the next 7 years, we have an elite young core, just need to surround it, need to shed some contracts this summer as well

  18. [Proposal] We keep the 11OA pick

    1. Coconuts

      Coconuts

Being patient, overhauling the team was always going to take more than a couple offseasons. If Garland costs too much to move or can't be moved in a lateral trade move out Beauvillier, he's much less commitment on a one year deal and probably wouldn't cost as much to move.

We aren't contending next season anyway, there's really no rush. Given how the past decade has gone even our being in the mix for a playoff spot most of the season would be considered a step forward. It may be that we have to wait for the cap to rise more significantly in order to be able to move out cap.
