I hope Karlsson (Erik) gets traded to a contender. Dude is on fire. Come San Jose, retain 50% and get assets.

Nah, he's not Makar and I don't expect him to keep scoring goals at this rate, but he was doing what Makar did last season long before Makar was in the league though so it's not as if this came out of nowhere. He's struggled to stay healthy for much of his San Jose but it's not as if he hasn't been good for them when healthy or that he hasn't produced, the talent is still there.
He looks good, he looks healthy, he'd def have value to another team as a top end RD at 50%.

Brock may or may not fit going forward but he's not suddenly worthless either, hopefully he can come back and start scoring goals.

San Jose and Anaheim are in the thick of the Bedard hunt, could have both him and McDavid in the division next season.

@J-23 was talking about it the other day, Bedard in Anaheim would be disgusting given the young talent they have on the roster and in the system
-
Fiction; Bedard gets drafted to Anaheim falls in with the wrong crowd becomes addicted to everything , contract cancelled.falls out of the bottom of the porn industry, Friends from van come rescue him and convince him to come back home. The Following year he try’s out for the canucks makes team but by then the nhl has introduced a new playoff format. The canucks end up playing Anaheim for the cup after the 6 th game in van. Van ties series and it goes back to Ana for game 7 .the night before game 7 bedard goes AWOL. Canucks lose. It could happen.

I did not see Boston having this kind of start. 8-1-0. Damn.
-
Connor Bedard probably has a CDC account
-
Just trade everyone who wasn't at Demko's wedding, clearly that's the bar for team cohesion

I honestly thought it was gonna be worse, I figured I'd be paying about what I did for nosebleeds last night and I wasn't keen on that. It's still pricier than I'd like but way I see it is I don't know how many more chances I'll get to see em, life comes at you fast and either I or they could die; and Tom's already left twice so who's to say how long this lineup lasts this go round.
-
After last night. I don't want floor seats. I want to sit down. The humidity at the Neptune was horrible.
When Miku says it's hot. And she's on stage, I don't know how they were able to perform. They were still amazing. I had to take a break, go into the hallway, get a swig of water. As I was stumbling and probably getting the first stages of heat exhaustion. $9 for water by the way.

Tom is back in blink-182 and they'll be putting out an album, at least one thing is right in the world again!

Thanks for the pre-sale code! Your the best. @Coconuts

Lowkey believe Seattle is a Pacific division dark horse if Wright and Beniers can contribute to what's probably an underrated top 9 and Grubaeur can bounce back.

Winter is on the horizon

I’ve noticed over the last year , seasons have been late, like upwards of a month having been a hwys equipment operator taking note of seasonal change came easy. I was expecting fall weather to be no different can’t complain about this falls weather but signs of an early fall started a little earlier than prior years diciduous trees started turning colour in early sept. Last winter was harsher than the prior 10 winters. So I’m thinking this one may be similar.

Just how vintage are we talking here?

Life is so much more peaceful without consistent sports notifications tbh

With injuries up front this is the perfect opportunity to sign Canucks legend Loui Eriksson

Do you remember the 21st night of September?

Question for you, it seems that curse words that would have been censored a while back aren't anymore, are we simply to avoid using those words at all now or am I going to get hammered for saying cancer is the equivalent of a female dog? Should we be censoring ourselves? At least before hand certain bits of certain words would just be auto-censored and we could throw them out without punitive measures being thrown at us.
Just curious because as far as I can tell most users on here are adults.

I really like what the Sens have done this offseason, they should be a team on the rise. Could be in the mix for a wildcard spot.
-
Any guesses on which player gets a custom react this year? My guess is Demko.
RIP Loui react, gone but never forgotten.

I liked the league better when there were more Willie Mitchell, Douglas Murray, and Robyn Regehr style D playing. Have a soft spot for D who's bread and butter is playing sound, tough defense.
Willie Mitchell is one of my favourite Canucks ever for that reason.

Oh def, the game has certainly changed since the mid 2000's/early 2010's. There's definitely more emphasis on speed, mobility, and being able to contribute to the attack.
The guys who's bread and butter is defense aren't as common though, there seems to be more emphasis on being a two-way player nowadays. And I get it, I just have a soft spot for defensive specialists.
-
Yeah. Tanev, while not being young anymore, is an example of a new style of D who still focus on D but also contribute well to a team's transition game. D who play his style of game are much different than say.. the players who played a similar game to Mitchell and Volchenkov.
You still see the odd throwback, Gudbranson kind of fits that mold despite varying opinions on his effectiveness. Even Burroughs brings a bit of it. Could throw Schenn in there too, though he's a bit of a crossover player who grew up playing that brand during a hockey at lower levels while is was prevalent, and caught on in the NHL at the tail end of that brand of hockey being commonplace. Him and Gudbranson have that in common.

Yeah I'd play the Commodore, or Vogue Theatre or Orpheum if I want a cool small venue.
