@Coconuts Exactly much rather draft in the top 7 a coule good classes coming up in 2023 and 2024. Trade JT Miller even though he is a great player and retool.
The age and construction is not in line to be a contender. They need to get younger, faster, more skilled and harder to play against.

I'll be genuinely surprised if they aren't first ballot players. How many Art Ross winners haven't gotten in? And the twin novelty, it's an easy choice. Olympic gold, world championship, Hart and a Ted Lindsay, their community awards. All-star teams, almost had a cup too.
I could see Luongo going in as both tbh, but he had his greatest success in Vancouver.

Literally every Art Ross Trophy winner that is eligible for the Hall of Fame is in, there's virtually no chance the Sedins don't make it at some point. The only Art Ross winner I could forsee never making it is Jamie Benn.
The one thing I'm paranoid about is that they might induct Henrik but not Daniel this year for some stupid reason. -

I don't count shrimp by individual counts. I count them by the number of the shrimp cocktail platters from Costco, or the number of seafood towers at Blue Water Cafe. I would say, at least three full Costco trays...and at least four of those seafood towers at Blue Water Cafe. More if you're sharing. I'll see you guys at the Chelation Clinic getting all the heavy metals removed from my system.

Ive never been that enamoured by Malkin. Probably the same sort of thing w/ how other team’s fans view EP. @Coconuts is the Malkin hate related to VAN proposals to go go after him? He’s in the Spezza contract category now if u ask me.

Nah, just that we were the world beaters some folks make that team out to have been. We only made the playoffs because of math, after Marky went down we were sliding and then the season halted.
Minessota was well earned but we didn't outplay the Blues, had they played whatshisname instead of Binnington we'd have likely lost, Binnington was awful.
Demko was the only reason that Knights series went all that long, he truly deserves any bubble praise he gets. But the rest of the team wasn't very impressive against the Knights.
We weren't a great team, we just had a fun run. But because it's the closest thing we've had to success this last ten years people tend to look back on it through rose colored glasses.

With Benning gone I hope we see more of Linden. I know he's a father and he's busy with business ventures, but outside of the twins having their jerseys retired it's been forever since he's been an active presence for this club.
And as such a massive franchise icon that's sad to see. Hopefully the Aqua's are willing to mend that relationship and a new management group helps smooth things over. Even a once every so often appearance would be better than the almost nothing we've had.
