I need Vegas to win their next game so we can't jump them@draft position.

Roman Josi has scored 2 points per game since the beginning of March. 34 points in 17 games.
Nobody should be that handsome and talented.

Tanev hit a career high 21 points with the Flames, last week it was Gudbranson hitting a career high with the Flames. Sutter's a helluva coach.

And now, for the most important thing you'll read all day, Alexisonfire is releasing their first album in 13 years on June 24th!

Casual work is balls, I've been up since 6:30 yesterday to get to the gym before it closed. Worked 12am-10am, and now I've been waiting for training that'll take place from 1-3PM. Then I've gotta stay awake so I can sleep properly for a 6AM-4PM tomorrow.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The housing market is &^@#ed, the rental market is &^@#ed, and now everything's going to get more expensive because the cost of gas is &^@#ed. What a perfect era to be in my early 30's.

That's my goal, to go back for a bachelors. Beyond that? I'd rather not, we'll see. At this point education's likely my best bet to do more than keep ahead above water financially going forward.
We're just starting to feel the economic results of the Russian war imo, and thus far it's just gas prices. It won't stay that way.

Are hockey DJ's really that bad or do people just expect to hear music from 20-30+ years ago?

The very last thing on my mind at a hockey game is the music. I am old enough to remember when there wasn't ANY music at a hockey game. You could actually talk to the person next to you without shouting into their ear. But here's a solution for those who don't like the music at the game: Use noise cancelling headphones and stream your custom playlist through your phone. Problem solved.

The last 22 years, there's been bands/singers with hits, but they don't stay, or have an impact.
How many stoke up a crowd as well? I'm sure there's some, but not many. There's a reason
why 20-30-40-50 year old songs are played. Because either they get you going, or pump you up.
My impression is people now want to make music that "sells". Not very often do singers or bands want to say something, or express something.

I agree with what the other posters stated
It is only to energize the building and mood, you wouldn't play classical music or Amazing Grace to do that (The Lions used Krazy George and cheerleaders)
It use to be only a live organist at Canuck games and was entertaining
Hopefully the team is that on its own

many things have got better, its just we tend not to hear about them. Right now its hard to believe but its true.
This is kind of a neat site if you want to look for real data on many topics: https://ourworldindata.org

A guy named Hans Rosling did some great work on how the world has actually become much better despite what gets thrown our way in the media.

Speak for oneself, pls. Yes I keep up on the exploits, aspirations, achievements & gaffes of my favourite sports team.
However for many yrs I've taken geopolitics very seriously. Reading up on & watching broadcasts(from sources I trust..mostly) regarding the vast global chessboard..particularly in an economic, development & regional spheres-of-influence sense.
Personally find this info very interesting, especially within the context of historical precedents, & a quickly(tech) changing world.
Also believe many want to quickly chime in, when there are significant moments like today's..yet they've never committed themselves to learning important background, beforehand.

Our players aren't going to be simultaneously awful, bringing little to neutral value to the roster while being worth significant returns from other teams via trade. Pick one. Trade value and game to game performances are connected but not black and white things.
Every fanbase complains about it's players at times, and about every single player on their roster at times. But dumping on players and going on about how bad they are while simultaneously going on about the large returns we should be able to get for them makes no goddamn sense.
Not to be confused with simple criticism, which all players deserve at times.

If blood banks exist so should blood casinos, make things interesting. Bet everything on red.

Just a lesson to remember not to put too much faith in just one tournment. In this case, Pogge's very solid World Juniors tournament. It doesn't always translate to NHL success. Remember when Jim Sandlak was looking like Superman in that same tournament? Though at least Sandlak was a servicable NHLer (just not a great power forward).

I miss watching Canucks teams with a legitimate threat from the point. We haven't had that since Salo imo.
