1. Don't expect support from anyone on this team. Rennie has no idea how offense works. Other than Mattocks, this team doesn't have a legitimate striker among themselves. Very difficult to watch a team that can't control the ball and expect anything otherwise. Hopefully by next season the Scottish connection will be a memory.
2. Anyone have a comment on the officiating of some of these NFL games. They look like they are in pre-season, with some of these calls. At least 3 head scratcher moments last night.
3. Too many Brits, simple. Is it me, or all Barry Robson does is give his own players *hit all game? This team can't complete three consecutive passes, let alone control the game. Terrible officiating as well, MLS has a long way to go.
4. Another Brit, you all know what I mean, as expected. This makes the Caps better??? Surely they can do better than this to get a DP?!?
5. Desperation is the English way!
6. One thing I don't understand is the Whitecaps **rdon for Brits and their style of play. That Country hasn't won anything since 1964, let alone be good enough to have players from their systems recruited in the MLS. Boring and calculating soccer, doesn't excite fans, like you say, the NJ Devils. If anything, they need a mid fielder, and pretty damn quick.
7. No, but I'm expecting so-called professionals to be able to pass the ball and control it for more than three touches. Wouldn't you want to expect that as well? No one is as good as Spain, are you happy? lol!
8. I guess after watching Euro one might get a bit jaded, but are you really all that impressed with the calibre of the MLS talent wise? I've been to the Caps home games and they do nothing for me, Southsiders or not. It's great that they have all this excitement from within, but the MLS talent isn't that good. Where are the Caps strikers? Hassli is invisible, and now suspended again. The Galaxy were men among boys without Lampard when they played the Caps, that wasn't close.
9. Watching MLS isn't very interesting to me. Two or three passes the ball changes possession, or goes into touch. The Whitecaps never seem to win balls in the air, especially on set plays. Not one of these players would make a European club team. Sorry Bobby, this isn't entertainment as far as I'm concerned.
10.

I'm guessing that playing against men at the pro level, vs playing against your dads work buddies is a huge difference. Don't you? No raise for you!
11.

I did not know that. That league has to be the most difficult to make a profit. The travel budget alone has to be killer. What happens to all the players from the Salmon Kings? I guess the Canucks will have to find spots for them someplace. Thanks for the info.
12.

Are the Canucks sharing the Chicago Wolves? I haven't heard that. I think one of the bonuses of having the affiliate in Chicago is the accessablility to get players out of Chicago to certain US cities, that Winnipeg doesn't have access to. Heck, even Vancouver has to make the odd milk run to get around certain cities. But, I'm guessing charter flights have direct access. Winnipeg was a win/win situation though, wasn't it? Well run, good hockey market, and we can only hope that Chicago fills that void. Yeah, the Victoria Salmon Kings are kind of in limbo with the WHL going back, doubt that two franchises could survive under one roof.
13.

Sauve lost ground with his collision with the front end of that car, otherwise, I think he might have been a call-up before Tanev and Sweatt. Rodin could be the surprise at camp, I'm sure playing the minutes in Sweden would help, but, I'm guessing he'll be a Wolve to begin with.
14. Plus dumping Jumbo Joe on his arse more than once. Man do Marleau and Thornton ever show up for a big game? Both of them deep into the minus side of the ledger, I'd say this is the Sharks last kick at the can this year. Kevin Bieksa and the entire defense is playing huge, the only thing that concerns me about the Canucks right now is handling those big forwards in front of the net. Edler looks small compared to some of those Shark forwards.
15. Would love to see two NHL teams go on that ice. Thanks for the hi-lites, Rodin is coming along nicely.
