  1. Canucks finish 5th last and pass on a player that was a consensus pick. That passed pick goes on to have 50 points in the next season. Why not keep the streak alive?
  2. We confirm Seattle looks like a really great location. Get a rink and we will be there.

F Austen Keating - Ottawa 67's - OHL GRADUATED F Jake Guentzel F Drake Caggiula D Matthew Benning -- This is our pre-season prospect rankings from 1-25, as voted on by the fans on CalgaryPuck Forums. We will be doing another ranking mid-season and then a final ranking come season/playoffs end. This will be an interesting way to follow prospect development within our system, and to see who rises and who falls throughout the course of the season. It's a fun thing to keep tabs on during a grinding, long season - other teams can do the same for their system, if you want!
  4. The Calgary Flames are exploring options to move F Troy Brouwer. We are willing to include a 2018 or 2019 1st Round Pick + other pieces necessary in order for a team to take him on, however, we are more than happy to have Troy stay with us for the course of this upcoming season. We are also willing to take on a higher cap deal on a shorter term to help with cap if needed. We feel Troy can bounce back to his usual production, and help his value while helping us push for the playoffs and a championship. If interested, we are open to talks.
  5. MCDAVID CONTINUING TO PAVE AND LEAD WAY IN NHL, RE-SIGNS FOR $100M Connor McDavid will be staying in Calgary for another eight seasons after this upcoming year, much to the relief of fans in the bottom half of Alberta. While a deal was going to get done one way or another, it's good to put ink to paper and have it official. Connor will be the first player in CDCFL history to sign for $100M, and will carry the highest caphit CDCFL has seen in its existence. He will carry a 12.5M caphit, while hefty, is most certainly worth it for a player that is as dynamic, skilled, and mesmerizing on the ice. He leaves you with no words and your jaw on the floor - he is, after-all, arguably the best player in today's game. Talents like these don't come around very often, and it is important to make sure you never lose them, no matter what the price tag is especially when he produces enough for two players alone. For a player that has already wiped the NHL Awards clean in his second season, winning the Art Ross Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award all while being named to the NHL First All-Star team there is definitely reason to believe there are more of these years upcoming. Connor is already the leader of our team on and off the ice, and while only being 20 years old, everyone still looks up to him as the respected leader he is - he is truly beyond his years. We feel with Connor here, we have something really special to build around and we have built something that will contend for years on end. We know we can't waste such a great opportunity of having a once-in-a-lifetime franchise player lead this team for another eight seasons. We look forward to having him break more records, drop more jaws, and leave the opposition thinking 12.5M a year is too cheap for such a talent.
  6. Well unfortunately his defensive abilities don't show up on the FL scoresheet, so yeah, 5M is a lot for 20 pts.
  7. What are you sorry about, you just got rid of 5M that produces 20 points without giving up ANY assets and solved your cap issues. You're a wizard.
